bar1911 — Restaurant in Charlottetown

We must have went on a really off day because our experience was nothing like the reviews here. We walked in and we were immediately greeted, and we informed them it was our first time there. They informed us that menus were on the table and sit wherever we'd like. We picked a neat looking table that was an upcycled cable roll. First thing we noticed were the 3 bolt holes in the table FILLED with old food and crumbs (a celiac's worst nightmare). This table was wiped down before we got there, so it's not like it wasn't "cleaned". It's literally probably a day or two worth of nasty build up though, so avoid this tables if possible.

After 17 minutes, we finally got to put in our order. There was other customers present, but they were all attended to. However the female worker was attending to her phone and social media. The male server came back to us about 20 minutes later asking WHAT WE ORDERED. He's the one that took our order. It was 2 coffees and nachos.

My mom took me here as a night afternoon out since my life has been turned upside down my a recent diagnosis. One would expect a coffee within 37 minutes, however the beans weren't even being ground until we stood up and started walking out. So extremely...

Really wanted to like this place when visiting PEI last weekend. We attended the comedy show, which was great, but the staff and kitchen were very underwhelming. The friend I came with has many dietary restrictions so we called ahead to find out what could be made vegan/gluten free and were told that she could have the quesadillas or nachos. We come and are then told bluntly that she couldn't have the quesadillas "sometimes we have the corn tortilla sometimes we don't." She decided to order the nachos and when they came, it was just cheese and beans on it. None of the other toppings listed from the menu. When asked, again we were bluntly told "we don't have the guac right now". The quesadilla I ordered was supposed to have peppers, onions, cilantro and taco sauce. Instead I received dried out/flavourless cheese and chicken, nothing else. The waitress excused it by saying that their menu is under renovation. If that's the case, this establishment needs to print new menus or be clearer when people are ordering. It is a huge disappointment to order one thing and receive another. And we both experienced it. And the staff were cold and blunt and not kind...

5 stars cause of the manager. What a great place to go with friends. You can have coffee or drinks alcohol or non acohol. We had a great time. The glass that the drinks come in are cool and unique. Nice wine glasses and beer glasses. When we asked the manager if we could purchase the glasses she said No. The bar does let you buy them. I wish they would sell these glasses and beer glasses 🍻. They would make a great addition to my collection. We are from Saskatchewan all we wanted was a nice token of a great spot in Charlettown PEI. Ya there are hats but really the GLASSES ARE WHERE ITS AT. The server and manager (nice young lady, very friendly, does her work very well) they where great. I am sorry I forgot your names. If your in Charlettown you should stop here. Well thought out and friendly. P.S Love the glasses. Wish I could buy them....
