Thai Pad PEI (Food Truck) — Restaurant in Charlottetown

A food truck which is very popular and enjoys many returning customers on PEI.

The owner is very friendly and polite. She is admirable for her insistence in preparing the green curry with vegetables and natural herbs.

We have #2 green curry for our dinner. The photo shows that the owner is generous in providing food. The taste of the sauce is so good that I even finish the remaining sauce in the bowl.

The sticky rice with mango is also a "must try." The sticky rice is not as dry and hard as that offered by conventional Thai restaurants. It is soft and light. When you pour coconut milk onto the sticky rice, the texture will become attractive. The owner is also generous in providing quality mango.

(Indeed the owner is so hospitable that she gives us three extra boxes of sticky rice with mango when she knows that we are visitors. However, we don't want to take advantage of the owner. We put money back into the tips box. Thanks very much the owner for her hospitality! It is worthwhile mentioning that the mango supplied by a Chinese grocery store (see photo) is good).

The red curry ordered by my friends is also fantastically cooked. The beef and the potatoes are nicely cooked.

Super nice weather outside today so decided to go visit Thai Pad and eat outside their truck.

Food is still awesome. Hubby ordered Pad Thai. I always order Kao Soi but this time I ordered spicy curry with meat (#6 I think) it came with either white jasmine or brown rice and a piece of crispy spring rolls. Remind me to order extra rice next time!!! It was amazing!

They are also offering mango sticky rice which I sooo sooo missed eating so decided to give it a try. And I made the right choice, it was great! Worth the try! 😋😋

Yesterday, after working all day on a reno- we arrived very tired and hungry! around 3pm at Pad Thai for some of the very addictive spring rolls . Remembering we always ask for soup, when there is none, Sue said she wasn't too busy at that moment, so offered to make us some with what she had.
