Boston Pizza — Restaurant in Charlottetown

I've been coming and bringing friends to this place for a while because I appreciate their consistency in what they serve.

Last time I came with my wife and our newborn for a family date, and we ordered a pizza that was way over the normal spicy level. The server came over, offered to replace the pizza, which we only had eaten 1 half slice each out of the 12 slices (barely nothing), so we stop eating and 5 mins later the manager (don't know her name, but it's a woman with green eyes) comes over and says they are actually not swapping it because I ordered that myself and they couldn't do anything about it.

I didn't make a scene, It wasn't on me to try to tell her how to do their job, but for me it was insane that instead of trying to keep a regular customer happy and serve something that we could eat instead, they decided to charge me the $33.50, take the whole pizza back just to throw in the garbage, and now I don't feel like coming back just for this attitude.

Our mood was simply distroyed for the rest of the night, the server was also clearly upset, and just for the note... the high chair they brought to our baby was covered with food crumbs and tomato sauce all over the seat.

Maybe it was a bad day, maybe it was a misconduct action, I don't know.. all I know is we're not gonna choose to come back unless it's an addressed situation, and when people ask about it we will...

So we show up as a table of 7, which I FULLY understand (being a former waiter) is not easy to fit in. They tell us there will be a 30 minute wait, fair enough. 45 minutes pass, we finally get seated. However, we had to split the group in 2 and sit at different booths. We order our food normally, and they even gave me another doctor pepper without me asking.

So we wait, and wait... And wait... For an hour after we ordered. Everyone else in the group has their food, except me who ordered a double paddy burger. Nearing 10 minutes after they all got their food, my burger arrives, and much to my dismay there is only 1 paddy. On top of that, the entire thing was stone cold. I also want to make clear that none of my issues were with the service; as far as I'm concerned it was A-okay. Another 10-15 minutes later and my new burger arrives, thankfully fully constructed. However, it was so bland and boring that I honestly don't think the entire ordeal even mattered. The only taste that I could taste was the unruly amount of onions.

They did however take the burger off of the bill for the inconveniences, which I'm happy about. I've never sent food back until now, and frankly I don't want to...

Excellent service!! When I discovered a mistake had been made in the preparation of my pizza the staff went beyond the call to make it right. The waitress took the order back and within just a couple of minutes the manager appeared to offer his apologies for the error. He also offered me salad while a new pizza was made, which I declined. My wife happily ate her spaghetti while I watched, smiling all the while😁😁. My new pizza arrived very quickly along with another visit from the manager and another apology. At the end of the meal we were also surprised to see that $10 had been taken off our bill!! I have never been to a restaurant where staff from the top down have gone to such lengths to correct a mistake and make customers feel that they mattered! Everyone from the polite fellow that showed us to our table to the awesome waitress that served us with a bright smile and the apologetic manager that worked to quickly correct a mistake. They were all great! I would highly recommend the Boston Pizza on University Avenue in Charlottetown PEI to anyone!! GREAT TEAM, GREAT ATTITUDE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PLACE and GREAT SERVICE!!!...
