What a treat!

I was in Charlottetown for less than 24 hours and ended up eating here twice in that span.

I had arrived late and needed some comfort food on the first go so I asked for the chef's recommendation. He did not disappoint with the pulled mushroom burger. This was one of the best burgers I've had. Made with shredded king oyster mushrooms and lots of savory sauce on a fluffy bun, this hit the spot.

As I was leaving the next day, I opted to grab a quick bite before heading on the road so I was looking for something a little lighter and went with the Mexican bowl. This bowl was filled to the brim with flavour.

I can't state this enough: this is a can't miss spot when in Charlottetown.

I had a chat with the folks there and they have been open for less than a year (they opened during a pandemic 😳) and have been doing well since. They work hard and have been getting their products locally so they are super fresh and tasty. They make almost everything in house (except for the vegan cheese) without resorting to frozen or prepackaged food which you can tell as soon as you take your first bite.

Do yourself a favour and go enjoy...

The two stars are because the actual drinks we got were good. But the service was awful. The two girls working the day of the pride parade were very slow. We ordered two smoothies. The first one took a while to make and when it was done, the person making it stopped to use a spatula and scrape the rest of the contents into a cup for herself and brought it to the back room before handing us our smoothie. Then she said for us to have a seat while she made the second. We explained that we were getting them to go so we didn’t need to take a table. She said okay and started working on the second smoothie. The other girl came up to us and asked us to go sit down and wait. We again said we were okay to stand at the counter and wait. She replied “can you just” and shewed us away with her hand. Her and the other girl looked at each other and laughed. We took a step back from the counter and then they finished the smoothie and gave it to us. Definitely will not...

We got the vegan poutine and the BBQ Mushroom sandwhiches. Also the tropical smoothies.

The bbq sandwhiches were good. It would’ve been nice if they had some coleslaw in them instead of only the bbq mushrooms and the bun. It said it came with a house slaw on the menu but when we picked up our burgers we did not see any slaw on ours. Maybe they forgot it? Anyways we didn’t want to go back and we were very hungry. Also, you have to pay $5 extra for a side which doesn’t make sense. The sides should be included.

The poutine was good but on the salty side. Loved the vegan cheese.

The smoothies were delicious and were the best part of the meal.

There were several things we wanted to order from the menu like the cabbage rolls and the rainbow rolls and they said they were not available, so that was disappointing.

I wish there was an area to sit outside in front of the restaurant or even a bench out front where we could sit to eat...

We had lunch at Gaia’s Urban Eatery today and unfortunately were quite disappointed. • The Southwestern Cobb Salad arrived without any dressing and we had to ask for it. • The Gaia’s Ramen was just average. • We ordered two Veggie Stir Frys for our kids (7 and 10), but they came out extremely spicy. The kids couldn’t eat them, and when we asked, we were told it was because of the stock sauce. This really shouldn’t have been the case for a simple veggie stir fry. They ended up replacing it with veggie hotdogs, which wasn’t what we were aiming for. Overall, we left feeling deceived and disappointed, since we had really been looking forward to a nice vegan lunch together.
