If you’re looking for a cosy restaurant with a warm and charming atmosphere, perfect for a romantic date night or a simple quiet evening diner amongst friends, Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar is one of Charlottetown’s trendy place to go. If you’re lucky, you’ll be cared for by Alex, who’s a devoted, true professional, yet friendly waiter. He’s quite honestly our absolute highlight of the evening, making this experience something we want to repeat! You can also count on the kitchen staff to delight you: we ordered a burger and a vegan burger, both accompanied with a side of fries. Don’t judge the size of the plates, you’ll be more than satisfied with the portions. As for drinks, indulge yourself with their selection of signature cocktails. And if you’re not sure about what to pick from the menu, just ask for something according to your preferences and they’ll whip something up to your taste! We tried a variation of their Charlottetown Flare as well as a Nobcreek Old Fashion with original bitter. Because everything can’t be perfect, their WIFI connection, while available, is not worth the trouble. So put your phone away and enjoy a great evening at Brickhouse Kitchen & Bar!

We just finished a late lunch here and it was very tasty! A simple yet VERY flavourful selection. We had the lobster poutine, haddock fish tacos with a Caesar salad, and a side of gnocchi with a creamy Marsala wine sauce. The poutine was made with a lobster bisque “gravy”, the salad had a good bite to it (a little too much dressing though). The tacos were very fresh and had a great fresh guacamole with slaw and other veggies (although got a little soggy with the vinegar sauce on the slaw), but the gnocchi was our FAVE! It had an amazing and extremely flavourful sauce on them, and for $8 as a side was totally worth it! The gnocchi was homemade, and I think was sweet potato, although not overly sweet which was nice! Very tender gnocchi. The server we had was lovely, very friendly and attentive! We chatted with her a bit once we finished eating. It was around 2:45-4pm that we were there on a rainy day, so could possibly be different service-wise if it was busier. Overall great experience! Would definitely recommend!

Lovely spot. We were starving and excited to try this place, and we were not disappointed! Asparagus and mushroom toast appetizers were full of umami, very delicious and light (but still great portions for sharing). Blonde ale from Gahan house hit the spot, colliding tides seltzer and Brickhouse’s mocktail: Ginger Punch were all refreshing and exactly what we wanted. For mains we had the chicken bacon sandwhich, their burger, and the vegan eggplant dish. All 10/10 with crispy delicious fries and garlic aioli! Visiting from Halifax NS and would definitely come back. They also permitted us to have our bunny on the patio, and upon request brought us an extra strawberry to give to him as a treat. Ideal dining experience at the BrickHouse Kitchen & Bar. Cheers :-)

I am deeply disappointed with the experience my partner and I had at Brickhouse, where we chose to host our wedding dinner. Despite having our reservation confirmed, the quality of service deteriorated significantly leading up to and during our event. From the outset, we had to constantly remind them of basic needs, which made us feel neglected and undervalued as customers. What truly compounded our disappointment was the rude and dismissive attitude we encountered whenever we made even the smallest request and were called names upon. On what was meant to be the happiest day of our lives, we were subjected to treatment that left us feeling terrible and disrespected. It seemed evident that the staff were intentionally dismissive, and the manner in which they interacted with us gave the impression of racial bias, which is completely unacceptable.

Moreover, the manager's behaviour towards members of our family was utterly disrespectful and out of line. Instead of ensuring that our party was accommodated properly, they made us feel unwelcome and inconvenienced. As a result, we were unable to fully enjoy our celebration, as we were preoccupied with addressing the inadequate service and disrespectful treatment we received. It is evident that Brickhouse restaurant took advantage of our vulnerability, both financially and emotionally, knowing that we would be hesitant to cause a scene on such an important occasion. This blatant disregard for customer satisfaction and basic decency is appalling, and I would strongly advise against anyone considering this establishment for any event. Our experience was marred by incompetence, rudeness, and a lack of professionalism, and it is clear that Brickhouse restaurant has a long way to go in terms of improving their standards of service and...

We visited The Brickhouse this friday. We sat outside. Our server, brown hair, can't remember her name but she was so nice. We got the mussels with white wine and garlic, and the roasted asparagus. I would definitely recommend both. We finished with a chocolate espresso cake, and a white velvet bourbon night cap, that paired so well.

We enjoyed ourselves so much we decided to make a reservation the next night to visit with family. We sat inside this time, great atmosphere.. and great lighting for photos if that's your thing. Our waitress, Shanika, I think was her name. So amazing, always making sure waters were full and we were happy. We started with the Muhammara a roasted red pepper dip, the perfect amount of chips/naan to go with the dip. For entrees the table got, the mac and cheese, loaded fries, and the chicken bacon ranch sandwich, everyone was very happy. I got the Lobster rigatoni, it was fabulous! I had a chat with who I believe to be the manager, Emily, the day before. I mentioned my position at a bar back where I'm from, and she took the time to bring me a drink from a secret menu for me to try. It had almond, pineapple and coconut. Delicious! Wish I got the recipe myself!

Overall an excellent dinning experience. I would recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a satisfying meal and great service.

10/10 Will be back my next visit to the...

I didn't think to grab any photos, but this place is gorgeous and has a fantastic menu. Highly recommended.

We started the night with the the zucchini garlic fingers, calamari, and duck confit sliders. Alongside some of their house cocktails, these shareable dishes were delicious.

Moving on into mains we had the hamburger (substituting normal fries for the garlic & parmesan frites - a move I'd highly recommend) and the sweet potato gnocchi. A couple of pints of blueberry ale helped wash it all down.

Finally, we splurged and got dessert. Initially, disappointment set in at the lack of chocolate options. It's a short menu. However, we decided to gamble a bit by going with the ice cream cake and WOW what a payoff. This ain't your mama's triangular wedge of ice cream cake. It's almost like a log cake, but it is a gourmet (and VERY shareable, given the size) work of ice cream art. Topped with Skor bits, layered throughout with chocolate and other crunchy, delicious ingredients, this was perhaps the highlight of the night. Our server said it best when she commented that it could be a hard sell at times based on the name alone, but the ice cream cake is a sleeper hit on that menu.

The service was fantastic, MJ was a treat and we wouldn't hesitate to return. Next time, I'll bring an extra thousand bucks and take home the painting of Zooey...
