TaKe sushi has been a regular restaurant choice for me and my family for years. They have a wonderful selection of sushi and the high level of quality has been very consistent over the years. The are many options available, with a more affordable sushi lunch or chirashi dinner if you’re looking for something smaller, or deluxe combination platters available if you want to go all out with a friend. They also offer several classic Korean dishes that are tasty along with some hot Japanese-style entrees for customers who may not be accustomed to eating raw fish. The sushi options themselves are plentiful - all the way from a westernized maki rolls to à la carte sashimi options for someone who prefers to let the finer flavours of the fish stand up on their own.

The service has always been excellent and the staff go the extra mile. They’ve learned our preferences over time and we’ve noticed and appreciate the effort they put in. I look forward to eating there for many...

The sushi here is arguably the best on the island. The quality of the food has kept me coming back. However, on this, my 5th visit, I've decided I'm never coming back. I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes for my food to arrive, and that was 30 minutes faster than my last visit. It's obvious that this establishment is overwhelmed by their takeout orders and that they prioritize that over their customers in the dining room. I noticed the tables have only one or two people do get served quicker than any tables of three or more. So be warned, if you come during the busy hour you're not likely to get served in a timely manner. It would be somewhat better, if the server said "we are really sorry, have this appetizer on us..." But that's never happened. Too bad, it really is...

This restaurant is supposed to be a fusion of Japanese and Korean dishes; however, they simply failed to deliver. I have moderate standards and would never compare this to other more authentic Japanese/Korean restaurants. I loved how they had a call bell, which we actually needed to use multiple times as they kept forgetting things that we ordered before it became crazy busy. Green tea could have been served first but they forgot about that. The bibimbab that I have photographed below is a poor excuse of a dish. It’s basically just fried rice with an egg. LOTS of lettuce and a few strands of beef that were meh. The salmon sashimi were fresh and were great. Bottom line, if this is the best sushi place in PEI, then I feel sad for the people...

Great service. Waitress was very attentive and organized. Average sushi quality which was disappointing given we are a block from the ocean. Good prices versus other provinces. Tempura was light and crispy. Sashimi was inconsistent. Salmon was very good, but tuna was tough, other pieces of fish were too cold (almost frozen), which inhibited flavours, some pieces were tiny. Soya sauce bottles said “light sodium” which made for an odd flavoured soya sauce for dipping. Stick with the good (regular sushi soya sauce) would be a recommendation. Lose the parsley garnish, doesn’t belong on this dish.

Tried Ta Ke Sushi in Charlottetown and had a good experience. The sushi don was fresh and filling, while the soft shell crab was crisp and tasty without being too greasy. I also enjoyed the tempura, which was light and well cooked. Portions were generous for the price, and the overall quality of the food was solid. Service was fine—polite and efficient, though not especially memorable. The atmosphere is simple and casual, a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. Overall, I’d give it 4 out of 5 and would return to try more of the menu.
