Great Canadian Bagel — Restaurant in Charlottetown

I haven’t been here in several years due to bad service, but after hearing that there was new management, I wanted to give it another go… now I wish I didn’t bother. I went in this afternoon; I was having a heard time hearing the man behind the counter and had to ask him to repeat himself a few times. I felt really bad about it and apologized, explaining I was having trouble hearing him (as someone who works in customer service I know how annoying something like that could be). Unfortunately, I was met with rudeness and this man rolling his eyes at me. Like I said, I understand it is frustrating to have to repeat yourself several times, but If I’m being honest, I felt very embarrassed and anxious after that. Extremely disappointed with my experience this morning. Used to be my favourite breakfast place... but, sadly, I will not be returning. My ‘toasted’ bagel was barely toasted, yet the edges were burnt. The layer of cream cheese was so thin… I told the lady that I love cream cheese and asked her politely (with a bit a humour) to add more... but in vain. Client satisfaction is clearly not a priority. I also missed being able to add my cream/milk to my coffee myself.

Haven’t been to a Great Canadian bagel in ten years since the one in our hometown closed. The bagels were how I remembered with multiple choices of different bagels and multiple choices of cream cheese. I see they also have soups and drinks. They have a bathroom, drive through, seating areas, and wifi. It was hot in there. The service was subpar which was my experience back in my hometown which was the reason it went down the first place.
