Hunter’s Ale house for their Burger Battle entry, the Crispy Chicarron burger with a shared Dill Pickle poutine shared between us. The burger’s were really good! Caroline liked it, I loved it. Especially that pork belly, and the burger itself! And that Dill Pickle poutine was too much for us both and ended up going home as takeaway. Chips sprinkled with something akin to dill salt and vinegar popcorn topping, immersed in a lovely dill sauce with fresh herbs, onion, pickle bits and cheese. Lovely if you like dill, and Caroline loves it! I enjoyed it quite a bit, and we are both happy to have sampled the limited time offer before it disappears off of the menu. We shared a deep fried mars bar for dessert. I found it a bit rich, which didn’t stop us from almost licking the plate clean. :) Good food, good company and good service from Olivia! P.s. Their signature Philly Cheesesteak sandwich is amazing.

Right next to our hotel in Prince Edward Island, we found Hunter’s Ale House, and it turned out to be a great spot! The service was excellent — very polite and professional. After 9:00 PM, they check IDs at the door, and anyone under 18 isn’t allowed, which keeps the vibe more adult and relaxed. Even though it got pretty crowded after midnight, the food and drink service remained impressively fast and attentive. We ordered the Gang Platter and a Smash Burger, both served hot and packed with flavor. For drinks, we had an Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned, and 2 tequila shots — all had a solid pour with an acceptable amount of alcohol (not watered down!). The music was also really good, adding to the fun atmosphere — we genuinely enjoyed it. Plus, the kitchen stays open after midnight, which is perfect for a late-night meal. 5/5 stars — great food, drinks, music, and service. Definitely worth a visit!

Really upsetting place …………A friend recommended this restaurant which is open after 9:33pm. The outdoor restaurant tables were all empty. The second floor is not open either. It's May 21st. Not less than a busy season. It is not a tourist season either. Whether locals or foreigners come to travel. Find a restaurant or bistro. There is not a very good fit here. Standing in the doorway, there are empty tables everywhere. The doorman at the restaurant said that the government does not allow the door to be opened outdoors. It's hard to find a restaurant when you first land in Charlottetown. Really confusing trip. Charlottetown's restaurant rules are also peculiar. The second floor is not open. The outdoors are not open.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I recently visited Beer Garden with five friends, and while everything started off well, the experience quickly deteriorated. A waitress informed us halfway through our meal that we needed to pay part of our bill, as another server would be taking over. We agreed and asked if we could order more food, only to be told the kitchen was closed. We weren't informed about the kitchen closing time, which would have allowed us to place a final order in time.

The manager suggested we order from Hunter's Ale across the street, as it is owned by the same company. Unfortunately, the experience at Hunter's Ale was even worse. The staff there were incredibly rude and displayed racist behavior. I had to call the server multiple times to place a simple order. She kept walking away mid-order, forcing me to call her back repeatedly.

When we returned to Beer Garden with our food, we had to call the servers several times just to get cutlery, despite the restaurant not being particularly busy. The staff at Hunter's Ale were new since I have been to hunter's multiple times, but that doesn't excuse the lack of basic customer service skills. Both the manager and the staff at both restaurants were rude and unkind, which is a significant departure from my previous experiences at Hunter's Ale.

I give good rating for the atmosphere and food since the band and live music was good, but the service is horrible, and I would never suggest anyone to go there. Upstreet or ponyboat also have great food and atmosphere and the servers are much better too.

Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the service and will not be returning. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving their customer...

I used to frequent Hunter's a lot over the 2 years I was in culinary school from 2008- 2010 and it was a great place. That's why when our family went to PEI for a vacation, I recommended we go to Hunters. So 6 of us went out for the meal to celebrate our family vacation to PEI on August 15th. The food we ordered wasn't bad at all. We all enjoyed our meal but nothing really stood out as to bring you back. One thing that did stand out was that my dad who's almost 80 years old paid for the meal( came to at least $160 or $170 with his debit card... He wouldn't let me see the bill) and put $9 cash on the table for a tip. He's 80 and doesn't go out much so he was unsure how much to tip. I told him I'd take care of the tip and as I was taking out $30 from my wallet( 3 $10 bills) and was putting it on the table. As I put one $10 bill down and was digging the other 2 $10 bills out of my wallet, he took back a toonie off the table because that's all the cash he had to buy my mom a tea at Tim Hortons. Before I could get the other 2 $10 bills down on the table for her tip, the waitress rolled her eyes, grabbed the money and walked away. Never even said thank you. If she would have just waited another few seconds she would have gotten another $20. I should have asked to speak to the manager, but I didn't because I didn't want my elderly parents waiting around for me as mom has mobility issues. Will not be back...

I recently had an unfortunate experience at a certain establishment, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with the staff, particularly their bodyguards. I found their behavior to be not only rude but also shockingly racist.

From the moment I arrived, I was met with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The bodyguards, who are supposed to ensure the safety and comfort of customers, exhibited a complete lack of professionalism. They were dismissive, impolite, and seemed to go out of their way to make me feel uncomfortable.

What was even more disheartening was the racist behavior I encountered. I witnessed firsthand the bodyguards treating individuals of certain ethnic backgrounds with disdain and disrespect. It was evident that they held prejudiced views and were not hesitant to express them through their actions.

As a customer, I believe it is essential to be treated with respect and fairness, regardless of one's background. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit. The staff's racist and rude behavior left a lasting negative impression on me.

I strongly urge the management of this establishment to address this issue promptly. Such behavior not only tarnishes their reputation but also perpetuates discrimination and inequality. It is crucial for them to take immediate steps to educate and train their staff on diversity,...
