Harvey's — Restaurant in Chestermere

Have bin several times before this review and it’s an average Harvey’s the staff is polite and professional, even as they try to up sell your order with a smile

Pro: it’s Harvey’s so you get to order your custom condiments as you like. Con: there interpretation of lots is often one more sliver of something vs “standard” and is somewhat conveyed as a burden if asked again to fulfill your original request

Big Pro: This location even staffed with a younger democratic managed to spend ALL!!! Of there “no customer at the counter” time with a cloth or broom cleaning something behind the counter. This impressed me however this Leeds me back to a con...

Con: and the reason for loosing credit down to a 4 Star ratings is that that younger democratic seams to be also burdened by the need to keep the washrooms clean. And it goes beyond what one person can do in a short period of time....(someone should be checking on a bathroom in an empty restaurant before the time it takes to have wads of things dry to other things....(enough said) second to that the un cleared tables of trash extra in seating area.....

Conclusion: the “kitchen” under compleat staff control is very clean.... but staff is discharged having to likely have to constantly clean the mess of others..... Sadly a fact of the job.... But I’ll still eat here....just wish the washrooms and restaurants...

Today at 12 pm, we visited Harvey's a place we have frequented for the past 12 years since moving to Chestermere. We always enjoy our favorite veggie burger and specifically request that it be cooked on a grill surface free from cross-contamination.

However, today the cashier refused our request, stating that they couldn't accommodate it due to faith-based reasons. When I mentioned that our request had always been honored in the past, she insisted that we had been laying to you and that it was not their policy. I asked to speak with the manager, and she identified herself as the owner. I was shocked and disappointed by her rude and disrespectful behavior, so we decided to leave the establishment.

I strongly urge the Chestermere community to reconsider giving their business to this location.

Following this, we went to the Marlborough location where we received excellent service. They assured us that they always cook veggie burgers on a separate side of the grill. We were very pleased with the friendly and accommodating service and will be driving a little farther for our meals...

I don't know why more people don't go here, the food is excellent and the service is friendly. Worth it! Update: just had a bad experience here. Ordered one sandwich and one combo through the DT and they forgot the fries. No problem, happens, so I go back in to get them. The server aid she didn't charge me for a combo. So first off, I said combo. Secondly if you verify the order before I pay we won't have this issue, just like every other fast food place does (or have a summary show up). Also she asked what to drink and I assumed because it's part of the combo. Manager told her to give me the fries, no problem, but this server insisted on repeatedly letting me know I didn't pay for these fries. I couldn't even prove it because she didn't give a receipt on or in the bag. Made me feel upset like I'm a thief. Ruined what would have been a happy experience because I love Harvey's hamburgers. Reminds me of the old burgers you could get from charity clubs in front of Canadian Tire years ago. If I actually remember this encounter in the future, probably...
