A&W Canada — Restaurant in Chilliwack

I ordered 3 chicken strip combos on October 8th through the drive thru. We waited about 10-13 mins to receive our order which is fine because we knew we are getting fresh hot food.

When we came home the chicken strips were dry & overcooked, fries were not fresh (cold), and the gravy I ordered was watered down. I called immediately & spoke to the manager named Yvonne. I explained everything and how I wasn’t happy with the food— $47 for this quality wasn’t acceptable.

He said he will call me back in 2 days and took my info. No problem! He called just now and said after looking at the security footage that the chicken and fries were all cooked fresh & there’s nothing wrong with the food.

He said the chicken could be dry because they changed their chicken or whatever excuse. He said he will not offer a refund or credit etc. only for the watered down gravy.

I explained since I’ve moved to Chilliwack the 3x I’ve been there every single time the food is gross. I’ve bit my tongue but not this time!

He did not care at all and made me feel like I was just trying to get free food.

Stay away from this location! All of the other locations are more decent than this one. Manager Yvonne you should have better compassion for customers. Disgusting...

Sardis A&W location. I had a concern about a food product and politely called the restaurant and asked to speak to the owner. I was abruptly told that I cannot speak to the owner. When I questioned why I could not, I was told they do not operate that way!! The man who answered said he is paid to answer concerns. I was not happy with his responses and was told by him that I could not speak to the owner. I simply asked for the owner to call me at his convenience. Again, I was told that was not possible. What is there to hide? As a former business owner, I valued my clientele and encouraged any clients to contact me if they had any concerns. I hope that owner reads this review. Certainly not a good sign if an owner does not wish to respond to his customers. Last time I looked, businesses do not fare well...

Tonight I went to a and w around 10.45 pm, Sunday 24th of April. I asked for a 5 piece chicken strip meal with 2 apple pies. The kid charged me for only the strips and pies and told me to pull around the corner. While waiting I was wondering why he didn't ask what I wanted to drink. So after close to 14 minutes for that little order he came out, and I asked if the fries where in there. He said he only charged me for the pies and strips, and I can go through drive through again so I can get charged for his mistake. In my option it was closing time and he just wanted to go home, cause by the time I got out of the drive way the sign was out for closing. This isn't the first time I've had bad service here.
