My young teenage daughter after she bought food and ate here was refused the washroom key for the handicapped washroom(they said the woman's was under renovation). They saw a lady and her kid had just returned the key. She and her same age friend were told to use the men's. What they said is not a private single stall bathroom and has an open urinal stall and a toilet stall. No way they could see to lock the outside door. They were dressed casual in jeans and hoodies but are obviously girls. They don't look older than they are either. Completely innappropriate telling young teenage girls to use a non private men's bathroom without an adult present. With older men pissing at open urinal stalls. That according to them when they looked into the bathroom they would have had to walk by the urinal to use the toilet stall. I'm sure many decent type of good men(odds are there are at least a few actual decent ones in this town) don't want young teenage girls in there either why they are trying to piss. Not appropriate! Weird thing to do.They said it was a female employee that told them to do this. They had to go across the street to McDonalds to use the bathroom. Won't ever have our business again, this is weird. Why would anyone tell underage young teenage girls to use a not private single toilet/can lock the door men's bathroom(& one [according to their look inside] that has an open urinal stall). Zero teenage girls want to see men of any age pissing, even less want to see middle age or old men...
Read moreI used to live in Chilliwack and have not been to this DQ in a few years. I was visiting Chilliwack and we had a craving. I went to pick up a PB parfait and a milkshake. First impression in the store was it was a bit dirtier than usual. This was around 8:30pm and it was not very busy. When I got up to order, I presented my app for my DQ rewards points. I was promptly told “we don’t have scanners here”. Okay I am thinking…why not? I want to get my points. A franchise should offer this at every location.
After receiving my items, a huge thing for me is getting served paper straws for things like milkshakes. I don’t care if it’s a bylaw. Paper Straws provide a terrible taste experience for a milkshake because of the aeration effect. The irony is the shake and parfait were in plastic cups and a plastic spoon for the parfait. The only thing that SHOULD HAVE BEEN plastic is the dang straw. This may not be this DQs fault, but this still affects my experience. Are there not better paper straws?
The last comment is the PB parfait - in comparison to my usual DQ in Kelowna, there were hardly any peanuts in the parfait and it was also lacking in hot fudge. All I can compare against is other DQ experiences.
This location has declined from what I recall a few years ago and certainly does not stack up to others I...
Read moreMay 4/25 And....like an idiot I keep going back for more punishment! I had hoped that there would had been some improvement from the last visit a few years ago, but NOPE! I think it's gotten worse! The drive thru person was rude and could barely understand with the horrible intercom system etc! Once at the window, she mumbled something to me incoherently, shoved the debit machine in my face, grabbed it back and gave me my blizzard. I don't know what is going on with 1) the service and 2) the quality of the ice cream, but I have been feeling nauseous ever since. Now I know why there is no line up at that location any more! Horrible quality, horrible service. NOTE TO SELF...Stay away!!!
I heard it is under new owners and the service is appalling. I order the same thing every time and I swear it is a different price each time! No napkins no holders and they practically throw the debit machine at you. I hate having to pay for extra toppings but because they cut back on stuff, we have to. Terrible....Because of the convenience I go to that location, but man they cannot get it right! Still lousy service, still no napkins or holders! Still trowing the debit machine at you! Its a shame actually that a Canadian icon such as DQ has...
