My family stopped for our first Frankie’s experience returning from a long camping trip around 6:45 pm. We were hungry and a bit tired and looking forward to a relaxing dinner and pleasant chit chat with the server like we would normally receive at an other restaurants of this price range.

I dropped my wife and son at the door, and they immediately felt “eyed up and down” because we weren’t dressed as spiffy as other customers. I had a struggle to find parking so I only noticed some customers in the parking lot looking oddly at my car which was loaded up and dusty. Parking was not adequate so I parking at a nearby business.

When I finally got to the front door it was bustling and busy. The front attendants did not greet me, and I found my family on my own.

The waitress for our table was a young lady of very few words. She was stiffly polite, but cool and distant and only said the minimum possible, as though she could barely stand our presence. She left us quickly each time she came. She showed no interest in us, where we were from, or what we had done that day.

We ordered our food and noticed other customers in the restaurant receiving excellent service from their servers, who chatted with them and laughed and attended to them like family.

Our server was more attracted to a young man sitting across from us who arrived after us. She stood with her back to us during the entire meal allowing our glasses to empty without offering a refill, and she did not discuss or offer pepper or grated cheese for the salad. She was animated and chatty with him, talking on and on. When the meal was almost done she asked if we were in a hurry to leave, almost like trying to get rid of us. It was embarrassing and rude. We eat out fairly often and have never been treated “less than others” before by a server.

The meal itself was excellent and the decor was nice. A bit loud for my liking but that’s ok.

My wife and son were unimpressed with their order of a Cobb salad. The serving size was minimal and the iceberg lettuce was only quartered, leaving them to cut the salad bit by bit for themselves. (Deconstructed serving style)The other topping were minimal having only half an egg and very few garnishments.

My Caesar salad was good.

We all agreed that the chicken flavour was superb though my son’s chicken was overcooked.

I struggled with the tip and with this rating. It seems unfair to give a lean tip and a poor rating since the food was good and I could see other customers getting good service.

In the end I gave a nice tip to recognize the cooking and other servers, but this rating will reflect the actual disappointment with the way we were treated—seeming just because we weren’t in our best clothes/makeup/hair. Maybe she assumed we couldn’t afford a tip so brushed us off?

I will probably never return in my nice clothes because of the treatment we got.

NOTE: I noticed the name “Anna” on the top of...

This place is an absolute gem that offers a true taste of Italy with a side of warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine smiles and a friendly atmosphere that instantly made us feel like part of the family. The food at Frankie’s is nothing short of spectacular. Every dish we tried was a delightful blend of authentic Italian flavors, expertly prepared and beautifully presented. Whether you’re indulging in their perfectly cooked pasta, savory pizzas, or mouthwatering appetizers, you’re in for a culinary treat. The flavors are rich and vibrant, with each bite transporting you straight to the heart of Italy. One thing that really sets Frankie’s apart is their amazing staff. They go above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a memorable dining experience. Attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly, they made us feel right at home, offering excellent recommendations and checking in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. It’s rare to find a place where the service is as exceptional as the food, but Frankie’s manages to do just that. The ambiance at Frankie’s is warm and inviting, with a cozy, yet lively atmosphere that’s perfect for any occasion—whether it’s a family dinner, a romantic date night, or a casual meal with friends. The décor adds to the authentic Italian experience, making it a delightful place to relax and enjoy a great meal. And let’s not forget the value—despite the high quality of both the food and service, the prices at Frankie’s are very reasonable, making it an even more appealing choice. You truly get your money’s worth here. In summary, Frankie’s Italian is a must-visit for anyone in Chilliwack who loves great food and outstanding service. We left with full stomachs and happy hearts, already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for an authentic Italian dining experience with a warm, welcoming touch, look no further than Frankie’s. Five stars...

The staff is exceptional, I just wish the food was the same.

Food was subpar. You think an Italian restaurant would really make there pasta dishes exceptional but they were not far from that.

The half price appetizers were better than the full priced menu.

Arancini It was okay, not my favourite.

Mussels They were good

Spinach & artichoke dip Was good

Gnocco Fritto (half price appy) Was excellent!

Mushroom ravioli (half price appy) Was amazing, it did taste fresh, and lots of sauce.

Nonna Maria’s Lasagna extremely overpopulated with meat and the tomato sauce was very acidic.

Alfredo Tagiatelle & chicken sauce was good, but not much of it, tagiatelle tasted old and not fresh. And the chicken breast, I am extremely shocked that it was well over done to a tire like texture and hard to chew. It’s not hard to cook chicken breast.

Pesto chicken Gnocchi Pesto sauce was good, but the chicken breast was the same extremely overcooked and hard to chew.

Had a few drinks, they were good except for one that was not mixed well. Not a big deal though.

Overall, I would go back but I would definitely only order from the half price appetizers. The chefs seem to put more effort into those than the main dishes. For the prices of the main course dishes is not worth what...

Ordered online. Food was ready on time and hostesses were polite. However the food is sub-par. $20 Calamari was soggy like it was cooked at a lower temp than needed, I had to put it in my air fryer. Only 10 pieces. $10 Kids Alfredo was fine, plain noodles and garlic sauce. $22 Pepperoni pizza was overly greasy. $24 Steak and beet salad- steak was medium rare at most but decent size $35 BC salmon entree didn't come as listed in online menu, I thought I was missing the 2nd half of my meal. Turns out it now comes with a pile of shredded hash browns that are only partially done, topped with sliced tomatoes and some form of unidentified julienned white stuff. It was so soggy with grease that it turned to a pile of mush. Salmon is dry and overcooked. I spoke with the manager, and she issued me a $40 certificate as reparations which was appreciated. We were originally given a gift card to go here but have always thought it was overpriced for basic food, and this order supported my impression. I still have $100 to spend here.... Going to be safe and use it on drinks

The food here is to die for! Gabby was amazing and helped us with a wine pairing that bumped our food and dining experience from a 4.5 to a 5. Frankie's is a nice place with Italian themes mixed throughout. It walks the line between casual dining and event dining. It seems like a great place for a group gathering or something bordering on casual, but it's absolutely a great place for a low-maintenance romantic night out. If you go here, definitely hope that you're served by Gabby! (Nothing against the other staff, I just didn't get to know any of them this time around). If you're undecided, I loved the lasagne and my husband enjoyed the casarecce boscaiola with the Poggio al Tufo Rompicollo, and we had a Caesar salad to start. We made the mistake of also getting dessert (way too filling) but it was hardly a mistake. The chocolate torte and affogato were outstanding and decadent. Strongly recommend.
