Okay, buckle up, folks, because I'm about to spin a yarn of epic proportions, a veritable saga of satisfaction, a culinary chronicle of... McDonald's. Now, I know what you're thinking. "McDonald's? Five stars? Is this person okay?" And to that, I say, "More than okay, my friend. I'm practically glowing with golden-arched glee!" It all started on a day like any other. I was traversing the terrestrial terrain, a hungry traveler on life's highway. My stomach, it grumbled, a low, ominous rumble, like a distant thunderstorm threatening a fry-less famine. Then, like a beacon of hope in a burger-less wasteland, I saw it: the golden arches, shining like a culinary constellation. I pulled in, my heart filled with a hope so pure, it could have powered a McFlurry machine. The service? Impeccable. The cashier, a paragon of politeness, greeted me with a smile so bright, it could have illuminated the entire parking lot. My order, a symphony of simplicity – a Big Mac, fries, and a Coke – was prepared with the speed and precision of a fast-food maestro conducting a delicious orchestra. The Big Mac? A masterpiece. The patties, plump and perfect. The special sauce, a tangy tango on my tongue. The lettuce? Crisp and cool, like a refreshing breeze on a summer's day. The fries? Golden and glorious, each one a tiny, salty stick of pure joy. And the Coke? Cold and crisp, a liquid lullaby to quench my parched palate. But the true magic happened when I sat down to eat. It was as if the universe aligned. The sun shone at the perfect angle, casting a divine glow upon my meal. A gentle breeze rustled the nearby trees, whispering sweet nothings of burger bliss. Even the pigeons seemed to be nodding in approval, their coos a chorus of culinary contentment. I ate. I savored. I experienced a level of fast-food fulfillment that transcended the mortal realm. It was, dare I say, a transcendental taste-tivity. So, there you have it. My five-star, slightly exaggerated, but utterly heartfelt review of a McDonald's that, for one glorious afternoon, achieved peak performance. If you're ever in need of a quick, consistent, and occasionally transcendent meal, look no further. Just maybe not the pigeons. They get a...
Read moreOk, guys, give this place some credit, they are NOT nearly as bad as most reviews suggest AND they have improved a lot over last few months! First of all, the place now gets regular clean ups and they pick up trash, wipe tables, sweep and mop the floors, clean windows thoroughly on regular basis, I come here very often because I work in the area and so I can see the changes. To clarify, i am talking about Vedder location, I never visit other MCD in the city.
The Vedder McD recently looks a lot calmer and much more inviting than it used to be and at times is even pleasant.
There are many local seniors and families with kids that dine here regularly. There is normal calm and respectful crowd. You just have to pick right times. It is still at certain times overrun by "horrid teenagers" as some of the reviewers described. Those are absolute pests. They are loud, they vape inside at nights, they bring their bikes and they totally trash the place, throw things all over floors, yell, etc..
Few times I had to call the staff to ask the "kids" to leave. And actually they did leave immediately. The McD staff dutifully cleaned up the place after the kids every time that happened without single complaint.
The staff at this location are very cheerful, very hardworking and fast. It is simply sheer amount of orders that creates mistakes. I almost never had problem with my order at this location and my food and drink always tastes great. Maybe because I make sure to communicate with the employees and they got to know me. But i also see many other happy customers. I do feel that many negative reviews below are exaggerated and do not give this place correct representation. This McDonalds makes great effort to improve lately and its hardworking staff really deserves much...
Read moreJust visited this location over the weekend with my friend and her family; the experience was thoroughly disappointing.
I ordered two ice cream cones that were well-prepared, with a decent size, by a young lady whose name tag likely read “Carrynn.”
Shortly after, my Chinese friends ordered a few more cones — but this time, the portions were shockingly small and pathetic looking. When they asked the staff about them and even showed photos of cones from other McDonald’s locations, both the Filipino staff member who prepared the cones and the Filipino shift leader insisted that the tiny portions were “normal” and "usual."
The shift leader showed no interest in resolving the issue, didn't present a resolution and simply walked away from my friends. When they asked for her attention again, she reluctantly offered a refund—but by then, it was clear they didn't care about customer satisfaction at all.
What frustrated us even more was that the Filipino shift leader appeared to scold Carrynn after we raised our concerns. While we couldn’t hear exactly what was said, the interaction clearly wasn’t positive. It felt as though Carrynn was being blamed simply for doing her job well and providing better service than the other two — which was both unfair and disheartening.
To make things worse, the store had little to no air conditioning that our ice cream started melting and dripping fast within a minute. It was hot and uncomfortable inside, especially under sunlight near the windows.
Between the poor attitude, refusal to help, poor product quality, and uncomfortably warm environment, we felt completely let down. We left and went across the street to Dairy Queen to enjoy our treat there instead....
