Chilliwack Museum — Attraction in Chilliwack

Took my kids to visit the museum today, all excited to share the history of Chilliwack with them. They were excited to see the pictures on the outside but inside was very disappointing. It was clean, the staff friendly. There are only 2 display rooms. The current display of the "Witness Blanket" beautiful. In the other room, there was a display about 2 cultures immigration to BC that was informative but alot of writing and 3 small display cases. Not interesting for kids. Beautiful little gift shop upon entering... Absolutely wonderful staff, who was welcoming and friendly ♥️

Not a lot to see in terms of artifacts or history, just lots of small items like houseware and old photos..

But the children's room was full of activities, art, toys, books and building items. My kids really enjoyed visiting, and there were some inexpensive items we purchased from the gift shop that they played with a lot...

Lovely staff, very helpful and accommodating. The main displays are not very large, but are well assembled and interesting, and the price is perfectly reasonable. The secret weapon (for parents) is the kids craft project upstairs. Can entertain my boys for an extra hour up there, and provides a great view of Salish Park.
