Ugly's Pub & Grill — Restaurant in City of Lacombe

Friday night was a real miss for all of us. We each had something wrong with our meals. There were five of us. It was pretty disappointing as we had heard good things. Maybe it was just an off night, but it was the first time I've ever been here. Wings were pretty small in size and dry. I had the Philly cheese steak and it was so salty, like the top came off the salt shaker, it was even gritty with salt, I couldn't eat it. The house salad side was good, but I'm not too sure what they made their house thousand islands out of, but it was not good at all or what I would even call thousand island. Totally ruined the salad. My friend and stepdad each ordered the reuben, both were missing cheese, and barely had any meat, maybe 2 slices, reubens are supposed to be stacked with meat and both were soggy. They told the waitress about the no cheese and she started arguing that the reubens dont come with cheese, but yes, they do, they even had to prove it on the menu to her. My friend also got the side house salad with thousand island and same thing, terrible dressing. My mom ordered a chicken sandwich of some sort, and hers was missing cheese. It was an upgrade that she had asked for. My step dad also got the mexi fries. Maybe I'm wrong, but I feel like the cheese should have been melted on there? Not just sprinkled on like a last minute touch, also it was supposed to come with salsa and I think sour cream, he didn't get either one. The other friend had the steak and onion salad, it didn't mix well with the dill dressing that they provided. His garlic toast still had huge clumps of cold butter on it as well. The waitress did give us all 10% off our meals, which is why I'm giving them a better than a 1 star. But considering all our meals had something wrong, flavors terrible and quality was just poor... was just a huge disappointment. The waitress did mention that she wasn't sure why the cooks were cooking like a "bunch of amateurs", however, it just didn't seem like it was a huge deal and probably not the first time it's happened. Service was ok, but not great and with her arguing about what comes on reubens tells me she has very little knowledge about their menu, which is quite small, so it shouldn't be too difficult. I don't think we will be back unless the quality of the food changes and attitudes...

We did not leave because of the wait for food, we went to resolve and waited an hour for food due to a wedding, we left because we felt the server/ was rude and giving us attitude for no reason

I have had a good chunk of bad service but this takes the cake, understand these are stressful times and I have been a server and our table was servers, but our server takes forever to even say hello to us, fine when busy whatever. but then aggressivly says " you ladies need to show id" okay but had bad engery then forgets to id me and then asks for mine, okay

Continuing bad service we decide to cancel our food and go drink some where else and no harm, she rudely states we have to pay for the fries we ordered even though they never arrive, and starts saying she is the owner and we have to pay, we politely inform her we know that's not the case, she says its a huge hassle as the owner, at this point I alittle rude my self stat she can easily give it to her staff as a thanks for for thier hard work as fries over hesd cost is not much

She then slams our bill on our table

I understand these are hard times and servers have been going through alot but this was not okay.

So id the black haired women who claimed to be the owner i hope you improve the services of your nice looking bar that has 15$ wings for some...

Played a ringette game in Lacombe today and decided to get some food before we drove back to Edmonton. Name of this place sounded good so we stopped in. There's two sides to the pub and we picked the left side. Has that hometown feel to it where the locals go. Has a good mix of high top tables along with regular height tables too. I got their fish tacos, fries with a side of gravy. My teammate got their club sandwich with fries. Wait wasn't long and the food came out hot. Soo hot that the fries were almost too hot to eat right away. They were super fresh, tasted homemade and delicious. My tacos were perfectly seasoned and the fish was crispy, flakey and not greasey. Her club had real chicken, as in roasted chicken and not the processed kind. Food was great and I'd happily go back again. Forgot to mention that the woman's bathroom has two stalls but one doesn't lock....so they have...
