I'm not one to complain, however, what I saw today at the Leduc Common Ricky's Bar and Grill was nothing less than appalling. There was a single waitress working 7+ tables without a hostess or any other support, at 10 am on a Saturday morning. It took about 5 minutes for us to be greeted, and when we were she apologized profusely for the wait and explained that she was by herself. When we were seated, it took an additional 5 minutes to get menus as she was busy with taking orders, bringing drinks and food to her other tables as well. It was clear that she was very overwhelmed and trying to manage the best that she could under the circumstances. When we were ready to place our order, she informed us that they did not have the ingredients for the dishes that were had wanted to order, as well as many other key ingredients. When our meals did arrive, which was surprisingly not very long of a wait, my pregnant's wives eggs were very under-cooked, cold and watery. The waitress was extremely apologetic again, and stated that some staff did not show up and they were working really short due to staffing cuts (there was only her and I believe one kitchen staff) with no idea when additional staff would be coming in to help. Other then the eggs, the meal was cooked well, and the waitress was very attentive with water, coffee and checking in, although did appear quite stressed and overwhelmed. She did have another waitress arrive to help out around 11:00 am. It is very unfortunate to see the staff at this location working so hard while severely understaffed, without any support from a manager. Sadly, it is likely the waitress and staff that suffer from this mismanagement (scheduling, lack of proper inventory to support the menu) as when customers are frustrated they take it out on the wait staff and do not tip. We will not be returning to this location any time soon - when paying $15+ dollars for breakfast you expect to have enough wait staff and ingredients to support the menu and provide...
Read moreI've been to this location about 3 maybe 4 times in the last year, and there always seems to be an issue if you order anything other than breakfast food. The last time I went, it was absolutely dead with only 2 others in the restaurant already eating. We ordered within the first 5-10 minutes, and the server disappeared for 15 minutes, came back with our drinks, and then said she had made an error and is just now putting in the order... The kids' meals finally came after being there for about 40-45 minutes, and my wifes burger finally came after they tried to give us the wrong order at close to an hour of being there.. Then when I asked where mine was at that point, she disappeared for about 5-10 mins and came back and said she missed putting in my order all together and they would rush my burger, they got it to me 15 mins later... Everyone else had finished eating already when my food finally came, and overall It took an hour and a half for me to finally get my food and start eating... I still left a tip for the server despite everything, but $70+ was not well spent. Due to a negative experience every time I've gone, I will likely never return, and I would not recommend...
