I was at Ojs during the holidays. Went on a Friday afternoon, to find out the service was slow. Our waitress talked to one table at a time, didn't check on other tables as she walked around. She looked at the ground as she walked around. Like she was avoiding her tables. There was 2 times our glasses sar empty for multiple minutes. It would have been difficult to gst drunk if we wanted to. It was not busy, she maybe had 4-5 tables. We chalked it up to a bad server, maybe having a bad day.
Next day we went in again. We sat down, and waited roughly 5 minutes before a different server served us. My wife and I ordered a drink each that was on the special. We waited roughly 15 minutes, still no drink. We flagged the waitress down and asked if we could atleast order. She said she would be right back. I walked to the bar were I seen my drinks plus 5 (ish) more and 2 girls standing around..i asked of I could take my drink to my tables the one girl said I'll get your server. That would be great I replied. We waited another 3 or 4 minutes with still no drink or server, so we walked out and called management, to which we were replied with it's busy. There were lots of tables open, so no it wasn't. You had 2 girls standing around. Maybe get those girls standing around to run the drinks as it states the table # on the ticket.
I would suggest a host to seat people, so one waitress doesn't get 5 tables (which should be easily handled) and 2 others get none. Or put the weak servers in the less popular areas.
I will be making Browns my new spot. Do not go to Ojs if you care about...

Read moreI’m extremely upset and disappointed with our experience here.
My boyfriend is Muslim and clearly stated that he could not have pork. He specifically asked if the Caesar salad had bacon in the sauce or as bacon bits. The server acknowledged this and assured us it was bacon bits. Despite that, a piece of bacon still ended up on his plate.
He had already eaten about a third of the salad before I spotted it. I had a bad feeling the whole time and kept looking at his plate, and when I saw that single bacon bit, my stomach sank. For him, this wasn’t just a mistake—it was a serious violation of his faith. He had to stop eating immediately and later perform prayer to spiritually cleanse himself. It was deeply upsetting.
What makes it worse is the server’s reaction. She came back to our table with a deer-in-the-headlights look and looked straight at him first, visibly anxious. She clearly knew something was wrong. When we left, he didn’t even take his food to go. He still left a tip out of kindness—9%—but the experience had already been tainted.
This was supposed to be a nice night out together. Instead, it left us both feeling sick and hurt. Please take far more care when someone makes their dietary and religious needs clear. This should not...
