I have never in life left this type of review so bare with me. I don’t even know where to begin! If I could give them a -10 star review I would. I sent my husband to pick up our order for our family of 4 (4 separate dishes). When he got home He’s holding a tiny bag to which I respond, where is the rest of it? “This is it” when I asked him how much it costed he responded with $68.15 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 once we opened the bag I was absolutely floored at what is seen, I called the restaurant immediately very upset I’ll admit. Once I reached Amy the manager I will add she handled it well and offered us a %50 refund which I was totally happy with and I was able to take a breath. I then received another phone call from another woman where I was told I should have ordered at least another dish for a family of 4 which would have pushed the total to like $80+. She kept saying that they have never had any complaints about portion sizes, scroll down and you’ll find plenty. She also made note of how full my dishes were and that they were so much better than anywhere else completely disregarding the point. Your dishes are small and over way priced!!!! What a horrible establishment and whoever I spoke to ( didn’t introduce themselves) was arrogant beyond belief. Even telling me the prices were cheap compared to everywhere else which was another bold face lie. Even if they were, for the amount of food you get here, the other establishments are a waaaaay cheaper choice. I don’t know why we didn’t just go there. The 4 dishes in a stack below was what costed us almost $70! And each where smaller than my hand. Food itself was delicious no complaints there. Anywho, awful person awful experience and I’ll never be back which I’m sure they don’t mind 👍🏻.
EDIT: I did not once yell at the staff like she claims below…. That’s absolutely insane to make that up. I was upset yes and direct but not once did I yell. I stayed respectful the entire time in my...
Read moreI wish people always wondered the best chinese food in Spruce Grove and Stony Plain chat read this review.
As it sounds crazy, I have tried all of Chinese Restaurant in the last month to find out the best Chinese food in the area.
I often do that, so I do not have to research or read reviews which restaurant I should choose.
Price : It is a little bit higher than others. However, this is a good thing when it comes to this review. As many restaurant chose a path to degrade their quality or quantity. Or even both.
Bing Spruce Grove, quantity or quantity stayed the same throughout the years.
Quality : Fresh !! Fresh !! Fresh !!
What I have noticed in other restaurant, they use frozen veggies or precooked fried items. As food gets cold, it has stale taste or batter, gotten too hard to chew.
Bing Spruce Grove, their veggie were crunch, and all fried items were very enjoyable even after it got cold.
Without even having their food, I knew their food had to be fresh.
I went there during the weekday lunchtime, and it was packed. You don't often see that in this economy that is not in a big city.
Talk about (food) inventory turnovers.
Also, the owner is very active and respected in the community as well.
Now I am very grateful to find a restaurant not only better than others. The best chinese restaurant in Alberta, in my opinion.
I grew up in Richmond, BC, where most population is chinese. Having no choice but to eat chinese food at least 3 times a week.
My taste bud in Chinese...
Read moreDon't ever substitute anything on the menu. I've been going to Bings for years and it just seems like every-time it cost's more and more. Granted we usually go for big events but family was out of town and I thought I would treat myself.
So I figured I'd place my order, go do my grocery shopping and then come back and pick up. I stopped in, the girl spun the menu around at me and told me to circle what I wanted, write my info at the top then walked away. So I had to wait for her to return to hand in my menu slip and ask about switching some things out.
Here's the thing ALL the "for one" combo's come with Sweet and Sour and plain steamed rice. So being that I was going shopping I figured that Dried ribs and fried rice would hold up better given that my meal may sit depending how long It takes at the grocery store.
Upon getting home I reviewed my bill and was understandably upset to see that those two substitutions constituted my $14.95 meal turning into a bill with a price tag of $24.63. I can not express how Disgusted I am at this. Really... 10 extra dollars to make two small substitutions.
I've always just trusted this place for years, my mother and grandmother have been going almost weekly, after sharing this fiasco none of us will...
