LONG AWAITED.... best Dosas ever...living in the north side it was exciting and convenient to finally have Savoys open close to home. Rather then the 30 minute drive to the south side location. I understand they are new and just opened we enjoyed the buffet which was very unique and delicious on June 29th signature drinks were great.. staff was ready to serve and super friendly. The manager and owner both ensured they engaged with clients and had great hospitality. It is definitely a modern vibe with a classy twist. Gorgeous interior, bar looks amazing and i love how the staff are all in black uniforms. You almost feel like your on a resort....i knew we would be back once the menu opened up fully to the public. Went back on July 2 for dinner and i called before going to ensure we would be able to order menu items as per the "normal" way. Whoever answered said yes. Once we got there we were told that certain menu items are not available and have been blocked off the menu... which again is understandable since they have been in business for about 5 days. The waiter came to take our order... his lack of knowledge on menu items was a little frustrating and upon taking our order he had to double check to see what was available with kitchen staff and came back and told us the dish we wanted was not available. Was a little disappointing and a waste of time as it would've been nice to have clear communication and staff to advise clients that there are certain lack of items and the menu is not 100%. In the end we had to leave as our chosen dosa was not available to order. Will probably wait to return and ensure to call and specifically ask to confirm the dish you want is available.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Kerala South Indian Restaurant, and I can confidently say that it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. As soon as I stepped inside, the warm and inviting ambiance set the stage for a delightful meal. The menu offers a fantastic array of traditional South Indian dishes, and I was particularly impressed by the authentic flavors that transported me straight to Kerala. Every dish I tried was a testament to the rich culinary heritage of the region. The dosas were perfectly crisp and paired beautifully with an array of chutneys that were bursting with flavor. The sambar was rich and aromatic, and the idlis were fluffy and soft—definitely some of the best I've ever had! What truly stood out was the extraordinary taste of their signature dishes, like the Kerala-style fish curry and the vegetable korma. Each bite was a harmonious blend of spices that left my taste buds dancing with joy. The use of fresh ingredients was evident, elevating each dish to new heights. The service was equally commendable. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal. They made us feel right at home, ensuring that our dining experience was as enjoyable as possible. In conclusion, if you're in the mood for delicious South Indian food that tantalizes the palate and excellent service that makes you feel valued, Kerala South Indian Restaurant is the place to be. I can't wait to return and explore more of their mouthwatering offerings! Highly recommended!

For starters, we love south side Savoys!! Dosa is one of my favourite foods. South side has some of the best service we have experienced. However, we are not sure if North side prematurely started up or if the staff aren’t trained as well. We had a terrible first impression. For starters we were seated by the hostess. We waited for 15 minutes no one came to our table. I flagged her down and asked for a menu. The menu she provided us was soaked, like it had been pulled out of a dishwasher. Later we had another hostess give us another menu which was completely different from the original. Fine, moving on. We ordered our food with the server who gave us the correct menu. 10 minutes later another server comes out and asks us for our order? There was a fatal lack of communication between them. I got the” mysore” dosa( which wasn’t even on the “new” menu), my brother in-law got the chicken dosa and my wife got the butter chicken with paratha. Food came out in a timely manner. My dosa was very tasty! However, my wife’s butter chicken was almost inedible! She always gets it from south side Savoys, so we know how it should taste. It tasted like half of a can of salt had been dumped in it. We succinctly stated our complaint with yet a different server, who seemed very puzzled. Later, a manager came out and asked us about the problem, we stated that the butter chicken was inedible. She said she would resolve the issue with another menu option. We agreed, and got a dosa for the wife as well. Later we looked at the bill we got from yet another server. Which charged us for that terrible bowl of butter chicken salt and her replacement dosa.

We were ecstatic for this location of Savoys because it is quite close to our home. I hope in the future they have better communication in place and sadly better butter chicken. Thanks for...
