OK, so ordered two Quarter Pounders, one was under cooked with bloody juices running from it, never seen such a pink/red burger from McDonald's in my life. A burger is fully cooked when the juices are clear, basic knowledge. Returned the burger to the manager Crystal. She started claiming nothing was wrong and their temperatures were up to par, well sure they normally are. After a bit of tugging, she agreed to make a new one. When served, I asked maybe add on a small French fry for the inconvenience. The rudely stated answer was, we don't do that here!!! I said, ok, I will just send a photo to your head office then. She said Go ahead, just do it!!! Never had an issue with a McDonald's manager like this ever, if food is extremely late or completely wrong, they always give a coupon for something or just don't charge. Decided to give her one more chance, but again she was just rude and when I said I was reporting this to the head office and local health, she again just said go ahead. We have a friend that runs 5 franchises and I can pretty much guarantee that a manager that does not take health concerns serious would be let go immediately. Unreal behaviour from someone in this position. Would suggest you never buy a burger from this location ever again. Terrible. Complaints will be filed including to the...
Read moreWhile we were there, another customer had to return to get her breakfast remade because she had asked for her breakfast burritos to be made without cheese. She didn’t seem bothered at all and patiently asked if they would remake them, to which they of course agreed. The woman who (might) have been the manger went too far when she said “Well they were SUPPOSED to be made that way but this guy-“ (gesturing to the cashier) “-didn’t enter them into the till correctly,” and rolled her eyes dramatically. I could see the pain in that cashier’s eyes, and everything became uncomfortably quiet and tense. He didn’t say anything. Not only did it make all of the customers feel uncomfortable, it was clear this employee is working under a toxic manager. Calling out your employee (in a very unprofessional way) in front of all of your customers doesn’t help anyone, and you could tell the cashier was mortified. Someone might want to reconsider the front line management at this location. I tried to read her name tag but it was tricky. She has a bit of an undercut and her hair was pulled up into a short ponytail. She had highlights on top. Sorry folks- don’t act out unless you want to...
Read moreThis McDonalds is totally substandard in cleanliness. Flies everywhere in the public eating area. This is my second year visiting Cobourg and popping into this store in the Walmart Superstore on Strathy Rd. for a coffee. It is one of the most unsanitary we have visited across Canada and in the USA. I am also going to report this ongoing substandard situation to McDonalds Corporate.. Unacceptable.. Staff is fine, young woman on cash this summer was excellent, but nothing can make up for the flipping flies, dirty floors and poor quality seating materials..What the heck is wrong here.. McD's get your act...
