Prep Food Co — Restaurant in Cobourg

Visited this town from Toronto. Took some nice pictures on their patio for my social accounts. (Funny thing is,I was actually thinking of giving this place a nice review in the begging) I could’ve tip more. it was a nice day, nice trip

Sadly,It was great until the moment I finished the main. The girl took away plates,(which is good, she was paying attention, however what’s not so good was , she brought me the bill right away and ask me to pay for it. When clearly I am still enjoying the drink. like I may flee. lol

Plus, shouldn’t the standard process shouldn’t be ask guests if they want anything else? Coz I wanted to try the square sweets though. Instead she brought bill and machine, asked me to pay. Wow… how did she know that I don’t want anything else?

You’re not a fancy restaurant but even Starbucks has better customer service than you.

But I understand, someone who is not local or white on outside patio, they may run, skip your bill right?

(So despite the kicked out signal I received, I sit there, pulled out Google while drinking my beverage and just to see how other guests pays or treated)

A white man was on that patio before me and he went inside to pay when he finished his drink, so as the couple next table.

Hmm, so next time we should covered by La prairie foundation in shade NC-05 to have the privilege to call for the...

Can't say enough good things about Prep!

The location in downtown Cobourg is so convenient - right on the main drag for events, close to the beach and campground, close to the theatres, tons of parking nearby. Can't wait for the patio to open!

Super comfortable inside. A nice, cozy, friendly vibe.

Great food and drinks from breakfast to dinner. Grab a pastry, a sandwich, a grab-and-go salad or wrap, or stop in for dinner and a cocktail. Knowing they're open 7 days a week is also great.

Frozen meals are so handy! Our kids love the pastas. Also really great to take camping, or during an extended power outage (like we just had!). There are enough meals, sides, and salads that you can easily throw together a gourmet meal with basically no effort. And their holiday bundles are awesome if you don't want to make a big holiday meal!

We've had Prep cater a couple of events for us, and been to several others they've catered, and the experience has always been superb.

Finally, the people are the best. Super friendly and knowledgeable, they know you when you come in, and they make delicious stuff. You can tell they really care about the customers. We were in for a pre-theatre dinner recently with three kids, and the staff were SO great with them.

OMG!!! Supporting local, supporting ourselves. First visit & definitely will be regular patrons. Their products are available in other nearby locations including Foodland. For lunch sweetie & I shared a Sesame Chicken Wrap - sesame chicken / kimchi fried rice / sesame scallions / kimchi / sriracha garlic aioli & a Kimchi Salad for lunch. Delicious!!! Warmed the wrap in microwave on high for 30 seconds.🙌
