Very good deep-fried pizza turnover. They were originally invented in Cape Breton Island at Ken's kitchen about 30 years ago. Kenny's Pizza has been making them for a number of years in Cape Breton Island and have done generally a pretty good job. However over the years the amount of cheese has been significantly reduced and the price has been increased. Not only that but not all of the restaurants can make a proper deep-fried pizza turnover. I once ordered one from the North Sydney restaurant and it had first opened and had a boat a half a cup of oil within its when I received it. Extremely disgusting. Furthermore knowing that the cheese is pretty scarce Within These Days I ordered double extra cheese at the Charlotte Street location and when I received it and opened it it was barely a single serving of cheese with in it. I've been eating them for multiple years and I certainly didn't appreciate someone trying to rip me off. I sent it back and will never return to that restaurant again. However the Kennedys that opened in Cole Harbour has a really good cook and they made the best deep-fried pizza turnover I've had in years. They have become first Superior then the ones in Cape Breton Island with the crust being extra crispy not too dark and the insides beautifully steamed as well as an appropriate amount of extra cheese that I had ordered was inside. Two thumbs up to the new location in Cole Harbour... fantastic job. It is quite noticeable when a job is so well done and pride is taken in one's work as well as care to deliver a quality product to the customer. They have really put the Cape Breton Pizza...
Read moreThe pizza really is delicious which is why it saddens me to write a poor review. First time we ordered for delivery, we waited 2 hours when we were told about 45 minutes. When we would call back for an update we were told “it’s on the way”... obviously lost our order as we had to keep waiting. We get that accidents happen and wanted to give them another try. So we called one day about 10 minutes after opening, our first question we asked was “how long for a pickup order because time is important today and we need it within 45 minutes”. We were told no problem it’ll only take about 20. So we show up 20 minutes later and pay, we’re told it’ll be 10 more minutes. Which was ok - we had that buffer time in. About 25 minutes later someone told us “soon - yours is next”, yet we kept waiting and watching other orders come and go. Long story short- it was an hour and a half from phone call to pizzas in my hand and we were super late with the lunch that people were waiting for. So - if you want good pizza you’re willing to wait an unreasonable amount of time for, then this is the...
Read moreWe bought 3 small pizza. Pepperoni, vegetarian and a mix of meat lovers and pep & cheese. We asked for the 3 small pizzas. and we paid much more of what we needed to pay. When we saw the pizzas, one was much smaller than the other ones. And we paid more for that one. It didn't make sense. We went to complain and the guy was so lost about his own prices and he was lying and messing us. We saw him the menu and what we were supposed to pay, and he knew we were right but he was still saying no and changing the prices all time. He couldn't explain it. We paid more that 20$ for a MINI pizza (because he said that we asked for that when we asked for a small). And also 20$ for 2 small ones. They lie to us and the stole us. Also, we went to ask for cups of water and they didn't give us. The place was so empty (now I understand why) and dirty. 0/5. We also found meat in the vegetarian pizza....
