What a fabulous find. We have a Catering business we were dropping off food and setting up for an event in Blue Mountain and had not had time to eat all day. Driving out of Blue Mountain. My husband did a quick Google search and found LoDown.

I'm VERY picky about my cocktails and I was instantly struck by the fact that this place makes a solid number of classic cocktails and boy do they make them well! I had their Paper Plane cocktail. It was perfectly balanced and I had to order another one. A really well made drink with a cute little paper airplane attached to the glass and little note inside the paper airplane. My husband had a classic, dry gin martini and said it was excellent.

The menu is very small but it's a great fusion of Asian and BBQ. The Spring rolls were super crunchy but not greasy. Amazing flavour and the perfect size and good for sharing. The Bao was filled with crunchy fried chicken and the Bao was soft, fluffy perfection. It's a day later and I want to go back for one! The Kimchi Elote fries were fab. I did not get to try the Asian noodle bowls which looked wonderful so I will definitely be back to try those out.

Great service, friendly staff. Kudos to the bartender/s it seems harder and harder these days to find a place that actually serves and makes a good, classic cocktail.

If you’re in Collingwood, Ontario and need a nice cocktail and a few plates to share. ...

Love the food at Low Down! Always rotating the menu. There will be times when the menu appeals more or less to you throughout the year. Of the 10+ different dishes I've tried, I think I've only ever felt "meh" once or twice - the vast majority of dishes are extremely delicious, with great ingredients, ultra-fresh produce, and attentiveness to the plate that is palpable. Several experiences here have left me "food drunk" and just saying "wow".

Kimchi Elote Fries, Ramen (!!!), Banh Mi Fries, Braised Beef Noodle Bowl, and Pork Belly Bao (seasonal/off menu) are among my top favourite dishes. Make sure you get multiple things with friends so you can all share! Drinks are always amazing, alcohol or no.

Service is great here, they clearly train their staff very well and I've only ever had one off night for service in the many times I have eaten there. Super attentive, friendly, & helpful staff members.

Eating in is fantastic, great atmosphere. But they also always nail take-out, never had any issues with freshness or presentation. Their events are also a blast....

my boyfriend and i went on a date here last night. I'm from the city and thought the vibe was cute. The blonde tall white waitress (she didn't introduce herself to me) completely ignored me. she only took my boyfriends order, and only made conversation with him. She avoided serving me and she made me very unconformable and i felt mistreated and ignored. I asked for the bill because she only took my boyfriends order and not mine. we left immediately after she turned her back on me when i wanted to order. The place was cute but our waitress was trash amd rude to me. I'm not sure that if this was because I was asblack girl/interracial couple, but i felt targeted and ignored by the waitress and do not and will not feel comfortable going back there again, when I come back to collingwood.. there was another place near by with great service and great waitress. the service and treatment that I received from that waitress at Low Down was terrible and honestly...

The food was amazing. The Tofu/Chicken Bao Bun is top notch. The food fusion is so satisfying, it has an Asian twist with a modern element. The menu is very concise but it includes great vegetarian options. We ordered the Pico Party Fries, Crispy ToFu Bao Bun, and Sweet Butter Clucker Bao Bun for appetizers. They were delicious! For the main meal, we ordered Coco Loco ( Beef & Tofu), Pad Kra Pow, and Szechuan Street Noodles. Colo Loco was the best for both Beef and Tofu versions. The coconut jasmine rice and the tender caramel beef / tofu combination gives it a great kick. The noodles have too much oil, which might be the only downside of that dish. We also ordered the special drink of the month which donates every dollar to the LGBTQ+ community. Definitely will come back to try different things from their snacks menu. Overall, the service, food, and atmosphere were great!

This was one of our first outings with our newborn. We came here on a Monday evening and fortunately it was not busy which helped with a newborn. We each had a cocktail and a beer. The cocktails are fantastic and I would recommend them; I had the old fashioned and it was very very good. The food itself was good but nothing to write home about; we had the braised beef noodles, tofu bao and banh mi fries. The tofu in the bao was very good but the bun made it lose some of the flavour. The noodles also were good but the noodles could have used more sauce. The pork belly on the fries were very good but after you had water the 4 pieces the fries felt like they could use some more sauce. The vibe was very very good. The aesthetic and coziness were fantastic.
