Our first time here. Four of us enjoyed an IPA and ale flight. The saison was delicious but I will forever enjoy IPAs so I went with the Big Buck. Morgan was amazing, answered all our questions, super helpful. Lee makes fantastic food!!! Josh had the salmon tartar. I've made preserved lemons, and I've made lemon jam but the lemon business on the salmon! Super yummy! Thanks Lee for letting me taste it by itself! I had the rip and dip plate - warmed olives were so simple and yet so pleasant and the herbs on top - I always love when your fingers smell like rosemary and its olfactory effects heighten the food that you eat! Fries were shared and were all that fries should be. And you can taste the thyme. Dumplings were a vehicle for the sauce and I'm thinking they could use a bit more something. Ginger? Garlic? Gochujang? My brother-in-law had the burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. We ended with the trifle. Any chef when you ask: "why mint oil?" and they say "taste it and you'll understand" is my kind of chef. Though he did also explain everyone just takes the mint leaf off and misses the ness of it. The mint oil definitely added the ness. The brown butter cake was a little overwhelmed by everything else but if you tasted it by itself it was delightful. Proper cream, not cloying. Overall thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon! Side note: The patio is lovely but if you deal with noise sensitivities you will need headphones/loops/other types of ear protection. There are dogs and they sometimes bark and motorcycles and loud cars are driving by rather close. Inside would be fine, but to enjoy the patio it's worth bringing something.

Second time being here , first time the service was extremely slow. There was only one guy hustling and everyone else was just standing around chatting and making excuses. I ordered a flight of beer thinking it would be like anywhere else, ..it’s less than a pint total and costs way more , not really sure how that makes any sense ? Especially since it’s your brewery and you sell entire cans for much less..no reason why 15oz of beer should be close to 15$ before tip. Also considering the pints are 9.50.. just being cheap imo. So I decided to come back and try again , the jerk poutine we got was actually really great for the price and was super good ! The girl who served us was quicker and super nice. So we ordered the “roasted red pepper” bruschetta appetizer which is 16$ before tax and tip …what arrived was 4 pieces of stale bread with some tomato on top lol. No red pepper and no where near justifiable for that price. And if this is a supplier cost issue with you guys then maybe go to the grocery store , idk. There’s no planet where I should be paying 20$ all in for 4 little pieces of bread with tomato and not to mention no sight of the roasted red pepper part lmao so honestly after these two times I won’t be back , clearly just taking advantage of a limited choice of places to go in collingwood and jacking up prices for some items way too high.

Date of Visit: Monday, June 23, 2025 After many visits to Collingwood, we finally made it to Black Bellows Brewery for dinner, and it was a solid choice for a relaxed evening out. The patio was a great spot to unwind, with a lively yet laid-back atmosphere right in the heart of downtown Collingwood. We ordered the chicken sandwich with fries and the fish sandwich with salad—both were fresh, flavourful, and satisfying. The portions were generous, and the presentation was on point. The service was a highlight—our server was super friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. It’s clear the staff here care about creating a good experience. Prices were a bit on the higher side for a brew pub, but not unreasonable for the quality and setting. You’re paying for the craft vibe, and it mostly delivers. A fun, artsy brewpub with good food, excellent service, and an incredible patio scene. Worth a visit if you're in town and craving a casual bite with a pint in hand. There is on street parking – we had no trouble finding a spot – but it was also Monday night – and not very busy. In past visits to Collingwood, we tried to get a table at this restaurant on a weekend and it was jam-packed with long wait times that we were just not able to wait for due to day trips. It’s a popular place.

We visited Black Bellows in August on a tour of 5 local breweries. The hostess did not appear happy to see customers.

We came to your brewery because I specifically wanted to try the Ball Peen stout, which your website said was available. My companions ordered their beers, then when I asked for the stout, the waitress stated that "sorry, we're out of that" & simply stood looking at me. We explained that it was my birthday, we were doing a local brewery tour, & that I prefer dark beers like stouts & porters. She said "We don't have any today. Happy birthday though" & continued to look at me, so I asked for a glass of water.

Much later she came back & asked if my companions wanted another beer. Did she seriously think they would while the birthday person sat drinking water? They asked for the bill. 20 min later they asked for the bill again.

On our way out, one of my companions noticed that there was Ball Peen stout in cans in the cooler by the door. The waitress or bar tender could have opened a can & poured it into a glass for me. Or she could have at least told us that it was available to purchase in cans. There are many ways that your staff could have made this a good experience, particularly after being told that it was a special occasion. We feel we received terrible customer service at your brewery!

Thankfully, we received great customer service at Coffin Ridge, Thornbury Craft Cider & Beer, Northwinds, and Mudtown. I highly recommend craft beer lovers visit...
