Unfortunately, I’m not sure what the hype is… expectations were super high Because of the reviews and there isn’t really any other sandwich shops in the down town area. BUT … our visit was mediocre at best. You order in the middle of the restaurant for takeout or eat in. It’s a very narrow spot so your squished between people eating at tables, people waiting take out, people waiting to order and then like us waiting for a table to be cleaned (several were vacant but dirty) okay, it was busy so having to wait wasn’t really a big deal but your stand smack in the middle of all the chaos. The meat and breads are advertised as fresh or made in store I got the turkey club. I wish I had the option to go on any other bread then multigrain, please allow for us to pick our bread rather then just have it on one type of bread. The bread was very dry. It was so busy or I would have asked for it to be remade. But I just peeled off the crust and most of the bread and just ate the middle. Turkey was very dry as well, it appears to be fresh whole turkey which would be nice if it wasn’t so over done and dry you can really mess up turkey. And you guys have. Husband had the smoked meat and he said it was good, I tired a bit of the meat and it was fatty but had decent flavour (I don’t like red meat on sandwiches but wanted to compair) Another option for a side then a few chips would be nice as it really wasn’t much and kinda boring. Mayb more pickles/carrots/celery?? And at almost 20$ a sandwich(tax break at the moment so will be over that) it’s really disappointing
The hype isn’t worth the cost. We don't recommend and...
Read moreWas visiting the area and decided to stop by here for a quick bite to eat, the sandwiches looked really good as I was passing outside. Went in with a friend and we ordered iced lattes with two shots of vanilla flavour, the carver roast beef sandwich, and the italian panini. The atmosphere and vibe overall was very unique and interesting. Loved the decor and the staff were very friendly. We sat and were quickly brought the iced lattes, which were the best lattes we’ve ever had. It was the perfect amount of sweetness, the ice ratio was perfect, and we were told by the lady that she makes them strong, which we appreciated - it didn’t taste too creamy or sugary. We even ordered two more to go, since we loved them so much. We quickly got our sandwiches, which to our fortunate surprise were also some of the best sandwiches we ever had. I definitely recommend the roast beef sandwich, it had a perfect amount of meat, thinly sliced but a thick, generous amount overall. The sandwiches both had a lot of flavour, we both loved the freshness of the arugula, tomatoes, peppers, and cheeses in the sandwiches we got. Fresh and flavourful would best describe the food we were served there. Will definitely be back next time we visit. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique lunch spot that appreciates a...
