Austin Heights Pizza — Restaurant in Coquitlam

Austin Heights pizza is my favorite pizza. I have been ordering from there for a long time. I have moved to a new address in Port Moody and they delivered delicious pizza to us at our new place roughly 3 weeks ago on a Saturday night. Since then Cindy has tried ordering pizza on 2 different occasions and both times they said they don't deliver to here. So on Monday(14th) the 2nd time they said no I called to ask why they say they don't deliver to this address when they clearly have before.

The gentleman on the phone was actually quite rude and when asked why they delivered the 1st time and not now he proceeded to tell me the following.... Maybe we had 2 drivers that night, maybe the guy who answered the phone did you a favor, maybe it was slow that night. Really!!?? He then said it's to far to drive, on there menu it clearly states that they deliver within 7km for a charge which we are happy to pay. If you enter there address and our address depending on which map comes up we are either 6.1 or 6.4 kms away, so within the 7km

I asked for the managers phone number as I would like an explanation as to there stated delivery policy and his employees attitude. I was told that his number was unavailable to me. I asked that he call me back and the guy on the phone said "sure he'd let him know" I have been waiting for a call back since the 14th. This isn't fair, you can't arbitrarily decide on the given day if you will honour your advertised delivery commitments...

I have been ordering pizza from these guys for years. One of my favorite places to order from. The owner knows my number and voice and usually asks if I want my regular order.

During the peak of COVID I completely understood the delivery driver not coming up to my unit to deliver the order and I would gladly meet them in my lobby. Around the end of 2021 they started delivering to my unit inside my building again. The last two times I ordered I was asked to meet them in the lobby. I asked why and this was the response I got:

First time - We are too busy to come up. If you want the order you will have to come down.

Second time - Took my order, address, phone number and when I gave them my intercom code the guy on the phone said the driver will call you and hung up on me.

Sadly, This will be the last time I order from my favorite pizza place. It’s not over going down to the lobby, it’s over the rude customer service over the phone. I wish the owner still answered the phone and took orders! I don’t think the younger generation gets customer service these days.

Three Stars for past service and...

I would give this place 5 stars but not after yesterday. We've been ordering from this place for about a year now, but last night we ordered a pizza and they got it wrong so instead of ok we are sending out a new one they did. But i think it was the owner. Just mouthing me off and saying I was wrong and he was right and had it written down. How the hell am i suppose to know your telling the truth. Plus i told him, i told you to repeat the order back to me and said, thats ok its fine. Theirs a reason you always repeat the order back so in case either side made a mistake. The funny part is, they sent out a new one and still got it wrong. The food is good but the way I was treated as a customer was wrong and unfortunately will not be coming back to a business that treats...
