This used to be one of my favourite places to go for their happy hour menu. Both the menu and front of the house have changed. Not a fan anymore.I was given the wrong beer so we waited for someone to table touch us but we waited a good 5 minutes so my wife got up and went to talk to the male bartender. He gave her attitude and made her feel like she didn’t know what she was talking about , but you could see the difference between the draft beer I ask for(Heineken) to what I got. (Very cloudy beer). We mentioned the situation to our server, she apologized and we fell like she wanted to say more about the guy that was making drinks but she stopped her self. Anyways, used to love the food there but today our nachos were not cooked properly(cold, cheese not melted) and there was barely any toppings, the wings order was smaller(7 wings$13 happy hour)their poutine Mexicano which was one of our favourite things to order was cold and again pretty bare. Service was ok but like I mentioned before, all three staff members were newer or haven’t been working there at least 6 months as we used to go there almost every Thursday summer time. The ones that used to work there before were very attentive and friendly. (Fatima) was one of them.today is probably the last time we will visit that restaurant as we can forgive not too hot or great food but we can’t forgive a rude bartender and lack of friendly and attentive service.on a side note we still tipped 15% of a $100 bill. September 01/2024 updated. We decided to come back today and we were happy to see Fatima and gaga were working. These two ladies are always very nice not just to us but to all her tables. We will be coming to visit them on Sundays. The food was back to being tasty but for us great service is a must. Thanks gaga and Fatima for the quick, fast and genuine...
Read moreWent to the wild fig Friday evening for dine out. Was super excited to try this place as it looked beautiful online and the reviews seemed good. When we got there there around 8 pm there was only two other tables. We got seated in the front and we loved our table, as we settled we realized we couldn’t hear each other or have a conversation because the live music was extremely loud. So we ordered our drinks and hope it was just that song and that the staff or management notice it. After we got our drinks we let our server know we couldn’t hear each other so she left to talk to management I guess and then came back and offered to sit us in the back of the restaurant as that area was closed. Immediately I thought that was rude and unprofessional asking us to move when there was only one other table, and if a costumer is saying the music is too loud perhaps they could have turned it down, we also never got an apology. Anyways whatever we moved to the back of the restaurant. Our server was not a friendly person at all. she wasn’t rude and did her job but she really seemed like she didn’t want to be there. Also as we got our food the music seemed to get louder to the point where we couldn’t hear each other anymore. At this point we are the only ones in the restaurant and thought it was comical. The food.. we got the beef bites they tasted like it was re heated meat. All of our main entries were tasty and up to par with what is supposed to be a nice restaurant. Cheesecake for dessert was also not good. Overall we decided to never come back we are a group of moms who want to enjoy one evening a month with each other so we don’t go out often sadly we are extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, the food and the ambiance of this restaurant. Do...
Read moreVERY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH SERVER NAMED JEN OR JENNIFER. Had a very terrible experience dealing with the server “Jen or Jennifer”. On Saturday I had to order through the hotel lobby because the restaurant didn’t answer the phone for over a hour. So either the hotel lobby lady forgot or the restaurant forgot to add my order of quesadillas so I didn’t end up receiving them. I spoke with the hotel lobby and they asked if I still wanted them and I said yes so he said ok but then instantly called me back and explained how the kitchen was now closed but the hotel lobby nicely offered me free quesadillas next time I ordered. I called the restaurant two days later to place a big order and remind them of the free quesadillas. Jennifer answers and says she has to check to find out what happened. She calls me back 10 mins later and says “oh we will still have to charge you for the quesadillas”. So I say ok let me explain what actually happened, and this terrible server says “oH iM tOtTaly ReAdY To HeAr YoU ExPlAiN iT” with the most attitude I’ve ever heard. Then she hangs up and says I’m being rude when I repeated what she said exactly how she said it. Then a minute later I get a call from the head chef named Abhishek who was a pure gem and was so nice and offered apologies for her actions and said he would give me the free quesadilla's. I’m very happy with the chef but absolutely feel disrespected by JEN or JENNIFER. She should not be working at an establishment like this if she can not control her anger to help a CUSTOMER get their service in the best way possible. She made it seem like I was calling to just get free quesadillas that SHE was paying for out of...
