Pho 99 Vietnamese Restaurant - North Road Coquitlam BC — Restaurant in Coquitlam

I gave this place 3 chances and the service got worse with each visit. The servers are rude and don't care about the customers at all. The restaurant itself is constantly dirty and it seems like the staff are talking about the customers and laughing. The chicken pho I ordered tasted like chlorine and soap, as if the bowl had just come out of the dishwasher without being properly rinsed. When I brought this to the servers attention and asked for another bowl instead, she said all the chicken pho tasted like that and I should have the beef instead. She was extremely rude and loud about it and made it seem as if I didn't know what I was talking about. When I went up to the counter to pay for my meal, the server left out the drink I ordered and only noticed after I had already used my visa. She insisted I still had to pay but couldn't on credit because they have a $5 limit. The drink should've been left off the bill since it was her mistake and not mine. I'm writing this review because now I feel sick to my stomach. Do not waste your time and money here. I wish I could give this...

I've given this restaurant a three star rating. The food is excellent. It is of high quality and served in generous portions. Five stars for the food. However, I am inclined to give only one star for the service (hence the three star average). In my experience, the servers are rather ignorant of the needs of the patrons. My advice to anyone who chooses to eat at this restaurant is as follows... As soon as you have been attended to, be sure to order everything you will need RIGHT AWAY. If you like to drink three Cokes with your meal, then order three Cokes, because once you have recieved your entree, there is not a snowball's chance in hell that any server will so much as gaze upon you to see if there is anything else you require. It's really a shame because the owners probably lose a lot of money that way and the servers probably lose a lot of money in tips. Oh well... It's their loss, not mine. Food: Wonderful... Horrible service, horrible people, always mess up the order, they never get an order right, don’t go here unless you want to be treated poorly and have the wrong food and then and it’s cold. I even asked them what would help them so that they would stop making my order wrong? and the guy at the back table cleaning said to speak Vietnamese. they hate white people and I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they did something nasty to our food this time, there is no other reason for it to take 30 minutes when they’ve made a mistake on your order to make a fresh spring roll. It’s not like they had to cook it. Don’t go here unless you want to have a horrible everything. And look at what I just opened, the sauce is everywhere, half full, lettuce, and noodles thrown on top of the wraps. I am not eating this at all. !!! Totally and completely disrespectful and inconsiderate. I honestly think somebody needs to call the health department...
