This is a “no thanks” for me. Food wasn’t even sub par - my dogs eat better. I ordered a steak and soup as the side. Was informed they ran out of soup and to pick another side (options: salad or Caesar salad for an up charge) I asked if I could just change my order and our negative undertone server said no, my steak was done. Fine. 23 fricken minutes later it comes to my table. Burnt on the bottom, cold and I’m confident it still had a pulse. Enough about me though. Let’s talk about the others at my table, they had asked for fries. The server said no, they don’t make fries they are only offered at the pub next door. Few mins later we watch a plate of fries waltz on by us to another table, pretty sure one of the fries stood tall to salute us with a middle finger. We all just looked at one another and as our waitress passes our table she stops, turns to us and says “you look confused, is everything fine”. Listen lady, no it wasn’t fine. You tell us you don’t make fries in this establishment then have the audacity to serve them to another table? You finally explain that you do make them there but you have to be under 10 or a senior. Seriously? You ran out of the sides we wanted and wouldn’t even make us fries but have no problem serving us hairy, cold, food with onions (which we specifically said no onions). I know this will get deleted - another member of my group that ate there this evening already had hers deleted. That’s ok, I’ll share in many other places they can’t delete. Watch out folks - only eat here if you like rude service and food not...
Read moreLast night (Feb 12th/2025), we took my mom out for dinner for her 70th birthday. Upon our arrival, we waited 5-7 minutes to be seated, as there was no hostess present. I probably should have read this as a warning sign, but I figured that we were already here, and decided to give it a chance. There were only 3 total servers on for the restaurant and the pub side, which was not enough since there was a party of 15-20 people plus most of the other tables were full. We all ordered the Wed evening rib special. The ribs were cooked fine, but they weren’t seasoned, and had little to no BBQ sauce on them. The vegetables were cold, no butter or seasoning, and the carrots were rock hard. The waitress was doing a good job under the circumstances (very busy with patrons), but the meal was quite disappointing. If it were more than $30.00/meal, I would have asked to speak to the manger to discuss our displeasure, but I decided that it wasn’t worth causing a scene, and what would really come of it anyway. I then took everyone for ice cream at Dairy Queen, as a little show of condolence for the poor decision I made to pick Fire & Oak as our dinner location...
Read moreStopped in here for dinner last night after pulling our travel trailer up from North Idaho. We were very disappointed with the service.
Menus were provided when we were seated, but our waiter had to get a beverage menu. The waiter took our appetizer order and gave us time to make our drink selections. Our appetizers arrived after about 20 minutes, but still no sign of our waiter to take our drink order. Our drink and dinner order was placed at the same time. Drinks finally arrived after our appetizers were done.
We waited nearly an hour for our salads to arrive. Had to ask the water boy to bring them out. Turns out our order was never given to the kitchen. Our salads arrived promptly, delivered by the water boy. Our main dishes arrived after another 20 minutes.
All in all, the food was excellent, though my lasagna was cold. We were so hungry at that point we ate in silence.
Apparently, they were short of staff. Two waiters, two cooks, an additional person helping deliver food to the tables, a water boy, and a bus boy also working as the Maître d'. This I can understand in these time, but not so much as an apology. Very, very...
