We came here for lunch the other day. This has always been our splurge go-to family meal spot! That is changing! I am on an extremely limited food option list right now but I wasn't worried as there is one solid thing on the menu I know I could have. Everyone placed their orders and the food came. Everyone started eating. After a few bites that came to an immediate hault for me. The brushetta was cut so thick and it was so over baked and hard that it cut my gums when I took a bite. (I've been ordering this for last 2 years and this is not the usual standard) I let the server know I couldn't eat it. Showed where some of the blood remained on food while I had such bad pain on right hand side of mouth. She offered to have them remake but I told her if it was the same It would end up being wasted food as my mouth now hurt so bad I didn't want to even risk it. She grabbed a menue but seemed annoyed with trying to give options that they can change. I was trying to let her know its fine I can wait as those didn't work. Going to a stakehouse I know im very limited! She then gave option of soup. As I knew that would be soft I accepted that option. She said hold on as it may have something I couldn't have. Went and checked and confirmed it was a no go. By this time everyone else was finishing up the meals. I never blamed anyone for what had happened nor was I rude about it. However because I was too nervous and in too much pain to attempt the remake it seemed like I was just being difficult. After I brought up issue and declined the food I couldn't have, the waitress stopped giving the rest of the table even the bare minimum of service which was more upsetting. She didn't offer them refils after, didn't offer to go box (my child requested one though so it was brought out), didn't do the usual customer service small talk when...
Read moreMy Friend and i went to Mr Mikes in Cranbrook last week for dinner. They had a steak and seafood special on ,I ordered the steak with seafood sauce . The server came to our table and i asked her what type of seafood was in the sauce she really had no answer for me so i waited a minute and asked again "what type of seafood is in the sauce" she looked at me and said "i dont know its whatever is on the bag it comes from im not sure". HMMM OK ..sauce out of a bag... she didnt even say she could ask the cook, which is what she should have done. Oh well i decided to order the steak with seafood sauce and i ordered my steak Med well it looked really good i took a bite and it was great.I then cut my steak and it was so undercooked it was bleeding on my plate. The server came by and i said to her my steak was undercooked and i had asked for M/Well she said sorry and said ill grab a plate and take that back and we will cook it for you....ugggg i said okayyyy....not what you would expect in covid times to take a steak backoff someones plate and put it back on the grill...while waiting for my steak to be cooked i ate my sides. The server came back and said they made me a diffrent steak which was ok but not what i paid for because it was thin and chewy. I couldnt even chew it so i left the steak because it was not edible.the server came to our table with the bills and Mine was $44 dollers!!!! SHE SAID i took your drink off the bill!!!! I couldnt believe it. Should i have paid 44 dollers for carrotts,a potatoe and 3 onion rings? Because thats all i ate!!! What a terrible experience ....The maneger should have stepped up to resolve this issue...

Food is still excellent. Two 8 ounce strip lions cooked perfect. Even the veggies were perfectly done. Service was topnotch. Two steaks with a glass of wine that was $17, and a couple of beers came out to $95 before tip. Prices are up over year but still worth the price. It is the ONLY busy restaurant in town, just like last year. Also take great care to have quality options for gluten, egg and milk intolerances. One of the best in the chain.
We eat out a LOT and rarely order steak. This is one of the few places that cooks a steak almost as good as I do. Not quite Ceasars or Hys but pretty darn good.
Aug 27, 2018 Pound of ribs and a sirlion steak with shrimp, along witha drink each just a bit over 75 bucks with tip. Service was absolutely excellent. I made comment the veg were overdone and picked way to large but the meat was done perfect. She offered a free desert but I was full and I didn't think bad veg warranted free desert. They compted my beer instead. Would probably have said nothing if I knew the outcome, all I wanted was the next guy to get better vegetables.
Most of the restaurants in town were noticeably vacant at 6:00 pm but this place was packed. There were also clearly lots of locals. Speaks well to consistent good food and service. I would definitely...
