Basasak: Creston's All-Day Dining Gem Nestled in the heart of Creston lies a culinary treasure, Basasak. Offering an unforgettable dining experience for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone in the area. During my inaugural visit to Basasak, I was struck by the exceptional quality of the dishes. The mouthwatering chicken ranks among the best I've ever tasted, and the appetizers – such as jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks – were equally delightful. I wholeheartedly recommend the signature Basasak Sauce, which adds a delicious touch to any dish. For those who prefer a different level of sauciness, you can request less sauce or have it served on the side. In addition to these favorites, don't miss out on the scrumptious chicken sandwich and their range of poutines, featuring delectable gravy and cheese curds. Basasak's takeout service is also noteworthy, providing a convenient option for enjoying your meal wherever you please. My love for Basasak's lunch and dinner offerings only grew when I discovered their breakfast menu. The diverse selection, reasonable prices, and dedication to quality ingredients and preparation found in their other meals carry over seamlessly to their breakfast offerings. From traditional classics to unique culinary creations, there's something for everyone. Each breakfast visit to Basasak has been a delight, solidifying its status as my top breakfast spot in Creston. While there can be a wait for your meal, the attentive and friendly staff ensure it's well worth it. As for the presentation, the photos I've shared speak for themselves – the dishes are as visually appealing as they are delicious. In conclusion, Basasak stands out as a true culinary gem in Creston. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty breakfast, a delectable lunch, or a satisfying dinner, this is the restaurant you won't want to miss. I eagerly anticipate my next visit to Basasak and encourage anyone in the area to treat themselves to a fantastic meal at this remarkable eatery.

My partner and I were in Creston BC and hungry for a tasty lunch. I googled some of the restaurants in town and came across Basaks. I walked in, not knowing what I wanted to eat. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and I would have loved to eat inside. However, we were traveling with our dogs, so takeout was our option. It was a toss-up between hamburger or a chickenburger. After a great conversation with the host, I decided on 2 chicken burger meals with salad. I have never been happier with a meal. OMG, the most tasty chicken burger that I have had in my life. The salad just topped it off. The salad was one of the nicest presented and flavourful salads that I have ever ordered. If I could, I would give this place 10 stars. On my way out of the restaurant with our meals, the host replys "see you next time, no one ever just eats here once." We will definitely be back to eat here on our next trip. Thank you for the amazing food. sincerely the mushroom Lady on the dark side of the moon.

A true diamond in the rough! After a long day of motorcycling from Calgary, we arrived in Creston and found Real Food Cafe was closed, so we were looking for other options and stumbled across Basasak. We could not have picked a better place for dinner! Basasak looks unassuming from the outside and you might miss it as it is tucked into a motel, but it is absolutely worth the stop. We had the Basasak Chicken, the Cheesy Snow Chicken, and rice. All was amazing, and the best fried chicken I’ve had in years. The cheesy snow chicken blew us away though — cheese isn’t something you’d expect to mix well with fried chicken, yet it was our favorite entree of the trip. The combination of flavors and texture were sublime. We paired the meal with mango soju which went perfectly. I’d highly recommend eating here and trying both the Basasak and Cheesy Snow chicken! The breakfast items looked great too, but unfortunately we didn’t get a chance to sample them.

Let's face it, moving from a big city to Creston leaves a gap in dining, particularly for international dishes. And I'm not too proud to admit I have a weakness for Korean-style fried chicken. So when I found Basasak Chicken, I had to try it.

The restaurant itself is clean and service is fast and accurate. I found the menu a bit busy, but I did manage to find what I wanted.

I had a chicken sandwich once for lunch and fried Basasak style chicken for dinner another evening I didn't feel like cooking. The chicken sandwich was outstanding. Some care was obviously taken to select the right components to it: a beautiful, fresh and not-too-sweet bun, the right balance of richness to sharpness in the pickle and mayo and the chicken itself was done perfectly. Frankly, it was the best chicken sandwich I've had in recent memory.

The fried chicken was also incredible, well done, well-presented. The pieces were cut well and cooked perfectly, preserving a moist and tender chicken.

The only drawback to this food is the price. It's a good thing my Korean chicken craving isn't more aggressive, because 10 pieces of chicken set me back $40, which is pretty steep, even for mountain town prices.

EDIT: After Basasak Chicken's reply I feel I must reinforce that this chicken is WELL worth the money.

I do hope this restaurant stays around, because the food really is worth the money for an...
