I’ve given this place a couple of chances to hope for improvement on my next visit, but it’s a “3 times, you’re out” deal.
First visit to the new Dartmouth location was about 3 months ago. I got a chicken sandwich, Greek pasta salad, and a Boston cream cake. I got the sandwich “heated” on their panini press, but when I ate it, it was still cold on the inside, so pretty unpleasant on the palette. The toppings were also lacking considering the price. The pasta salad was standard, and the cream cake was good but tasted a little stale.
Second visit I got a chicken salad sandwich made on a croissant, and a blueberry danish. I didn’t get the sandwich heated this time. It was okay, but bland flavours and the danish had a stale taste to it. Everything LOOKS fresh when you go in, but there’s something off every time.
Last time I went in was this week and got a chicken sandwich on their regular bread, not heated, and spicy chicken pasta salad. This poor excuse of a sandwich is what tipped the scales for me that I will never, ever return. The sandwich was definitely at least a full day or two old and likely hadn’t been wrapped at closing to preserve freshness. The edges of the bread were so dry, I could’ve used it as bread crumbs. The tomato was so un-fresh it was nearly translucent. And the spinach? ONE PIECE of baby spinach on that whole bad boy. One measly little piece of spinach. And because the sandwich was old, it was wilted. After looking at this sandwich, I almost cried taking a bite “just to see.” There’s money wasted. And time - I only have so much time on my lunch break so I wasn’t able to return it to complain.
In terms of service and atmosphere, there is a small woman that usually works during lunch and she’s not friendly. There was a gentleman that served me the bad sandwich sandwich and he was nice. The store itself is cute, but nothing special about it.
You won’t catch me here again. Plain disgusting after that third attempt. You guys should honestly just close, or stop serving sandwiches altogether. You need to do miles better to rectify this. No “next one’s on us” - thanks,...

Read moreSo today I went with co-workers to pick up an ordered cake (beautiful by the way) and grab a bite. I am gluten free so bread lounge didn’t seem promising but I looked online at the menu. When I got there I found out I would need to order in advance which I didn’t. I was fine, but then a very nice man who overheard said I can make you something, I have some gluten free bread in the freezer. He asked what I wanted and I said anything at all. He brought out this beautiful little sandwich that I could enjoy and did. So thoughtful. Made my...
