The atmosphere at the Tacoma Mary Brown’s is cozy and provided a comfortable place to enjoy a meal. The cleanliness of the restaurant was moderately clean, which was satisfactory for a fast-food establishment.
We pre-ordered a chicken bucket along with some macaroni and potato wedges using Mary Brown’s website. It was easy to use and we selected our pickup time.
The food quality exceeded our expectations and was significantly better than what we usually get at KFC. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, the macaroni was creamy, and the potato wedges were perfectly seasoned and crispy.
The service was fast and efficient, with reasonable wait times. Our food was served hot and fresh, which added to our positive experience. In terms of value, the prices were not unreasonable, making it a good choice for a tasty meal without breaking the bank.
One unique aspect of this location that stood out to me was the artwork. The decor included pieces that reflected Mary Brown’s history as a company, adding a nice touch to the overall dining experience.
However, I do have a major gripe about the parking lot at the Tacoma Plaza where this Mary Brown’s is located. The parking lot is constantly riddled with pot holes, and the parking spots are small and poorly laid out, which lowers visibility and safety for spot seekers and pedestrians. Additionally, it seems as if the drivers who enter the lot immediately forget how to drive. It’s definitely not Mary Brown’s fault but rather an issue with the plaza's management. The location is the only issue with every business at the Tacoma Plaza.

Read moreBought a Blue Jays batters box lastnight from Mary Brown's in Tacoma and the lady was going to charge me $3 extra for all thighs and $1.50 for all dark meat & i said no that's ok just give me 3 small and 3 big pieces which is what comes with it like i can understand charging extra for white meat but not dark meat anyways i got my order and i started eating the taters inside with a couple of my lady friends & not a problem until after i left the store and I bit into a piece of chicken & it tasted like a chemical like cleaning agent or someting was on it and my throat had got irritated and difficult to swallow. I threw the food out in a garbage bin cause there was also a hair in the box. I was going home on the bus and called the store to tell them of my experience. They said the manager would call me in the morning. I thought the problem would go away but it never! I woke up and he never called me either so I called and he told me he'd refund me so I went to the store and as I got there he changed his mind. After I told him I called head office in Ontario. Then a lady there named Pina said in the 14 years working there that she's never heard of any chemical problems on the chicken. No one there was compasionate or willing to make things right. All i know is my throat was really hurting and I called EHS & police and the police came but said paramedics could take forever and I just said enough is enough and went home to rest and take throat lozenges take some Tylenol & drink lots of water. I am also waiting for the district manager to get in touch with me for a refund or head office to help! Anyhow i hope the food & safety crew along with Better Business Bureau will definitely investigate this place too! Read moreThe store was extremely busy, and a lot of people were complaining that their order was supposed to be ready as they ordered on the app. When they got to the store, they still had to wait up to 30 minutes to get their order. This is due to the fact that this particular store will not start an order until the cx is in the store. For that reason, I do not recommend anyone to order from the app with the Tacoma location as the pick-up location. The Cole Harbor location will do the order from the app and can be picked up at the time the app says it will be ready. When ordering from the app, all locations should be the same. Again, for this reason, I stopped going to this location, but I was in the area and thought things may have changed. It's good to see this site has not changed anything.
