I don't know how anyone can give the food and service at Station #1 less then 5 stars. I really enjoy Lebanese cuisine and have made a point to try as many places in HRM as I could back when I was on the road everyday for work. That being said I have had recommendations from my middle Eastern colleagues on other places in HRM to try which I have and they were good as well, but can't hold a flame to Station #1. We live in Lower Sackville and when ever we get the urge for good shawarma we always end up at Station #1 and have never been disappointed. In fact we used to go there before they moved to Tacoma and started to get known. Their previous location did not get as much traffic because they were tucked at the end of a small strip mall on the corner of Forest Hills Parkway and Main Street. Now with their improved location people are starting to notice and try them, so they can get busy at times, but it is worth the wait if you arrive and there is a line up! The portions are always more than fair for the price you pay (comparing to other competitors), the service has always been great. Their hummus is made from scratch, and not that pre-packaged grocery grade wanna be hummus. The owners care about their customers and you will often find them behind the counter working to ensure a good consistent quality of food is produced. They make their food with love and it shows in the flavour! If you have not tried Station #1 yet, you need to take a trip to Tacoma Plaza in Dartmouth and so yourself a favour. You will thank me later! I have said this before to everyone I know who enjoys Lebanese food, and I will continue to say it, that this is the best you will find in Halifax. Hands down! Keep up the great work guys. As always, I will be back! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ (I confess as many times as I have eaten there I have not even thought about taking pictures. All I think about is eating and enjoying their food, but I will update the next time we go!) //Update// So I have been back a few more times since and still forgot to get pictures but this time my daughter reminded me ๐Ÿ™‚ Still 5 stars as expected! I would give them a higher rating if I could! We also have their grape leaves and cheese rolls a try in addition to our usual chicken shawarma and they were both amazing as expected! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I don't give bad reviews often but I'm not thrilled about my first time getting take out here. When I arrived, the restaurant was pretty empty except for one customer. I ordered a chicken souvlaki plate which on the website says that it's supposed to be $11.99+tax for 1 skewer. They charged me $14.49+tax. The chicken skewers were barely edible since they had been mostly charred (see photo) and were extremely dry. The fatoush salad was lackluster and the pickled turnips were also dry af. My friend remarked that the pita bread looked like it had been picked up from the streets of Aqraba. Hummus was also pretty bland in flavour - it needed more garlic for sure. Staff member serving me seemed quite unhappy to be working that day as well. Not sure if that is a one-off. Either way, despite the high ratings this place has on Google Maps, I'm disappointed to say I would not recommend this establishment.

I have been there multiple times I always love the chicken shawarma wrap when it doesn't come with turnip... I asked every time no turnip and most of the time I get turnip most times I to go back. I've had a long talk to make sure I am ordering what I order, to make sure there isn't a language barrier that is at fault. I wish what you asked for didn't get put on the food you have to pay for, with the way the world is let's stop and listen to the new and returning customers that happen to spend their hard earned non covid / cerb related money. Remember that one customer speaks out means ten didn't.

This place is delicious, super competitive priced, clean open restaurant, and very fast delivery with low service fees. Huge fan of both their chicken shawarma plate and in particular the shawarma plate Syrian style, which is basically a large wrap cut up into more bite size pieces with a hummus pita contraption, tonnes of different pickles and peppers, and either fries or salad, it's a really big serving that won't leave you wanting. My only slight complaint is that they use Styrofoam serving trays for the plates, which I suspect helps them keep their prices down, and my early nineties Michael Recycle upbringing has me feeling that it would be nice to have the option to pay an extra dollar or two for a reusable Tupperware style platter, but that's a very small gripe. Honestly delicious, authentic, clean and super local (assuming you live exactly where I do). Highly recommend, delicious and top value, and definitely one of my most frequented...
