I went to the Dartmouth location at 5pm on Friday the 8th of December 2017. I ordered a beef donair. It took me 20 minutes to get my food. The employee a young girl was so slow and her eyes so red I swear to god she was stoned on heroin, while the other two employees hid in the back. There was no fresh beef so I had to settle for frozen beef out of the back (took her a few minutes, prob close to 3). She also went to the back for something else. You would think the lineup of people and me being impatient would influence the employees to help me? Nope. She was going to make it at her pace. She also couldn’t remeber my order details and had to be reminded, I didn’t even receive a pita I got a flatbread which was not advertised. The order was so slow my friend had to tell her to make it to go because we had to go pick up her child.
I traveled all the way from Vancouver and I heard so much about the Halifax donair. Well from what I know I’ll stick to Vancouver because this location was a joke an wont get any of my money...

HOWEVER...our experience at the Burnside location on April 13, 2019 was NOT what we have come to expect from the Mezza name. On entering, decor interior needed attention (tables were not wiped clean, floor and bases of booths looked dirty). The menu screens appeared to be malfunctioning and therefore were difficult to read. I ordered a shawarma wrap with a dry (stale) pita and pieces of chicken that tasted greasy and reheated. (The spits were empty and staff had to go out back to get the chicken and donair meats). When I picked up my cutlery, the entire basket of cutlery was dirty. My father's donair plate appeared to be great, however, my son said his sharwarma poutine was OK but tasted different than usual. Mezza is my family's #1 choice when eating out on the run, but I won't be returning to this...

Plus you defeat the purpose of ordering and pre-paying if you only have 2 people on one out back and one in front and you have to wait in line after whoever is in front of you to talk to the only counter staff, took just as long waiting then had to have you staff fix an order they had in print and paid...
