I deleted my review and am reposting it because if you do complain, they ask for feedback over email but literally do not read what you say and spit back generic platitudes. They told me they would "review their recipes". I'll let you, the reader, decide if my review has anything to do with "recipes". I do not believe they are interested in rectifying their mistakes if they do not even read the feedback people send in emails.
I sat at the bar and had intended on drinking two pints and ordering a rib eye. After the bartender essentially refused to acknowledge my existence for close to 10 minutes, the manager served me a beer. I asked the bartender for a menu and this still took ages to arrive so I decided to order sirloin bites and small bruschetta to go as it was 9pm, I hadn't eaten all day, and I at least needed something to eat.
I tipped 0 dollars to the bartender as she made no effort to apologize for occupying herself with trying to close the bar an hour early instead of attending to customers.
What really ticked me off was that between the time I asked for a menu and receiving one, someone else came in the bar and was served by her before I received a menu.
I was polite, I was not loud or obnoxious. I am not sure why I was treated this way but I am so glad that I tipped 0 dollars because this is what my bruchetta looked like.
Also 0 for atmosphere because their music is far too loud, and this is from someone who has some hearing difficulties.
It should be noted that the sign on the door said they closed at 10pm, maps said they closed at 10pm, and I walked in at 8:40. I do not think I was showing up just...
Read moreWe always come here for our date nights and have nothing but the best experience and great food. Tonight was different, we ordered the same thing we get every time; medium rare steak. When we cut into it, it was so raw we thought we got the wrong order. It was definitely blue rare, our waitress was busy so we flagged down one other person working, we let him know that we’re sorry but our steaks were way underdone, he took our plates and said he would get them fixed no problem, 2 minutes later he comes back with the plates in hand and said that the cook said these were medium rare and that they were cooked correctly and that we must taste them to be sure. We said we’re sorry, but they were way under done for medium rare. He said ok are you sure and left back to the kitchen, 10 minutes later he brings us back our meals and the steaks. We cut in again and they were so over cooked they were brown the light and dry as a bone. He said that next time we should order medium well because that’s what we actually wanted. We have eaten here many many times with steak that was cooked perfect medium rare every time. We’re not ones to send back food especially not twice. Our regular waitress came to check on us and we did not want to trouble her a second time. Food can be fixed and we had AMAZING service from our server Cassidy but the gentleman that “fixed” our mess up kind of had an attitude and we were very put off by him and how he lectured us about “what we actually wanted”. Again, our server Cassidy was AMAZING. Over all she’s the only reason we would come back...
Read moreWe went as a family, group of four. The service was good, we were promptly seated and drink and orders were taken and our waitress was very good and friendly. Two of us ordered the sirloin (I Ordered the Smuggler's Cove Sirloin) and two of us the Rib Eye steaks. The rib eyes were perfectly cooked, tender, and delicious. The sirloins, however, were undercooked, tough and chewy. We both ordered medium rare and got very rare (fully raw and barely warm centered) steaks. I ate mine because I was very hungry and I can eat steak more on the raw side (though I absolutely prefer them more cooked), but the other sirloin had to be sent back. When it came back to the table it was still very undercooked and extremely chewy. Most of that steak was left on the plate.
I wish restaurants would move away from steaks that are extremely thick but not wide. They dont cook well and I have never had a sirloin from ANY restaurant that I have come away from satisfied with the 20-30 dollars I spent on it. I always leave thinking "I could have made a better steak at home for less."
Also I ordered "no tomatoes" with my shrimp in the smugglers cove dish and I'm lucky it was a taste preference thing and not an allergy thing because both the shrimp and my salad had tomatos.
I should have stuck...
