It was Raptors final game night, very lively crowd, i was promply seated and my drink order was taken. My drink order arrived and my food order was taken, smokehouse burger and greens. The burger arrived and i ate a couple bites of salad when my wait staff returned to see "how the first couple bites tasted" The salad was ok.. nothing crazy, but then i took a couple bites of the burger. It was totally soggy, except the bacon, which was so over crispy that it was the only thing left intact after a bite. Then there was the "smokehouse bbq sauce, which had no flavor only heat, holly great balls of fire did it have heat! I gave up on trying to eat the burger with my hands and succumbed to fork and knife, but even with that the it would squish out on the plate as a pile of goo and the bacon held fast until shattering. Then the mouth was on fire, every bite, i did finish eating as i felt the $18 price of the dish required me to get a full feeling. I also finished my beer as a way of cooling my mouth. About 10 minutes after the meal was gone so was the beer, and it was a further 10 min until a server removed the empty plate. A further 15 min goes by before i was asked if i wanted another beer, to which i declined as i was out of time. There was only about 20 customers in the house and the staff was very busy stocking up for end of day, or socializing at the hostess station. They appeared busy but when the server walkes past my table 3 or 4 times without checking on me. I was not very happy with...
Read moreWe’ve visited two locations, and both offered good food, fair prices, and great service. However, the service and staff at the Dawson Creek location were truly outstanding! We’re Americans traveling through with two little ones and the staff here went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They immediately brought out two high chairs and even gave our toddler paper and markers to keep him entertained, something we didn’t receive at the other location so it was a lovely surprise. As visitors, we were curious about some local expressions, so I asked our waiter what “loonies and toonies” meant. He kindly explained they refer to Canada’s one and two dollar coins. He even showed us what they looked like. Our waiter, Lance, was incredibly patient with our kids and genuinely kind throughout our meal. His friendliness and attentiveness turned a simple stop into a memorable experience. We highly recommend this restaurant not just for the tasty food but for the exceptional service that made us feel...
Read moreWent with some friends and wasn’t overly interested in the menu but I decided on the beef dip. it was average at best and super small sandwich, like a small Tim Hortons one in the photo is half so two of those. Ordered 3 beers as well and got charged for 4 im pretty sure. Beef dip costs 24.5$ and was a joke paid 70$ in total for a few beers and a sandwich. Good atmosphere and that’s about it wouldn’t waste my money here again for something that average. Defiantly better places. The drinks are great tho I gotta say. Also had the gyozas which were average and over priced for a few on a plate. Got browns a second time by mistake recieving somebody else’s order and yet again disappointed but much worse this time. 28.50 without tip or ridiculous bc tax for 4 tiny snack bite quesadillas almost as Thin as paper to the point where it’s actually impressive they could make It so small. Yam fried came with it, This place is good for drinks but the food…....
