Lots of strong opinions on the ordering kiosks! I would agree that it’s not perfect, but I would never have imagined it’s giving people so much trouble that it ruins their whole experience. I think it’s easier to work through a menu this large on a kiosk than having to order with a cashier. The main issue with the kiosk interface is that with some items, you click and view a description before adding to your cart, and some items without a description are added to the cart with the first click, and there's no way to predict which will happen, so you may end up accidentally adding things to the cart when you just wanted to see more details. However, it's very easy to just remove anything unwanted on the "Finalize Order" screen, so this is a pretty small inconvenience. The only significant problem with the menu is not inherent to the kiosk interface: it's that some items are missing a description or the description given doesn't provide the full information as to what's included (I wanted to know the difference between 3 similar items, but only one had a description, and I also ordered an extra chutney when prompted, not realizing pudina chutney was already included with what I ordered). Now that I've addressed the kiosks, I can say I was happy with the food and overall experience at Happy Singh. The extensive menu may seem overwhelming, but there is something here to satisfy any craving. I would suggest browsing the online order menu ahead of time to get an idea of what you want and save time browsing in store. I ended up getting the soya chaap frankie, malai pista tres leches cake slice, and masala chai doodh soda. Everything was pretty good. Soya chaap frankie: Nothing out of the ordinary, but the filling was flavourful and had lots of substance, and the wrap was perfectly crispy. The included pudina chutney was strong and the small cup held exactly enough. Malai pista tres leches cake: I wasn't expecting too much from the desserts but this was very impressive and decadent. In addition to the usual milk soak and whipped cream, it was topped with a drizzle of pistachio paste and a whole rasmalai patty! Rather than being too busy, I thought all the elements of the cake went together very well, creating an amazing and unique dessert! Masala chai doodh soda: Was expecting that it might be super sweet, but the sweetness level was just moderate, which I liked. The chai syrup used was moderate in strength but had an authentic flavour. I've never tried something like this before, it was very refreshing. Food is prepared at different stations and picked up separately from each. When you order, the machine gives you separate receipts for each station so that you know where to go for each part of the order. The orders at each station are displayed on screens that can be viewed from the tables and you can also opt to have a text sent to your phone that lets you know when your complete order is ready. Despite it being cafeteria-style service, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Ambiance is also pretty nice for a cafeteria; it has a modern Indian aesthetics and a cool secluded patio.

This was my first time here with my family. First off I would like to say the ambience is pretty cool. It's really nice and trendy inside, great place to catch up with friends or come in with family. I was really interested in sitting outside on the patio but for some reason it was closed and we were unable to. When you walk in there are kiosks to order from. You cannot order from a counter. Which is nice as you can take your time to review the many options they have and not feel like you have to rush with waiting customers. Once you have ordered, a receipt prints out which you take to a counter to pick up your order once its ready. We ordered a few items although they are not all pictured. 1. Goat Curry- it was ok. I would give it a 3/5. Not very flavorful and the texture of the goat was not to my liking. 2. Dahi Batata Puri- this was really good. I thought the flavors of the yogurt and toppings really complimented each other. I could definitely come back for this. 3. Chole Bature- These were really good as well. The bature were nice and soft and the chole were really flavorful with a little kick. 4. Chicken 65 Roll- These were ok. It didn't taste like chicken 65, it tasted like lightly seasoned chicken with sauces/toppings. Came with a side of chips. 5. Manchurian- Awful. It was really soft and soggy. Not crispy the way it should be. The Manchurian were swimming in the sauce. Also a little too sweet. 6. Pista Malai Tres Leches- This was amazing. My husband loves tres leches and it's really difficult to find in BC. So we decided to try this. The cake was nice and soft. You can definitely taste the tres leches (3 milks) and the ras malai. I could definitely have this again. 5. Tutti Frutti- This was like a sundae with dried cherries. Tutti Frutti in general is not a flavor I enjoy but a family member ordered it so I tried it. Not bad, others around me enjoyed this. I will say the items are definitely overpriced with small portions. If I were to ever go back I would stick with street chats/snacks and their shakes/desserts. Definitely a great place to come in with friends for a fun snack or dessert. All in all a fun place to hangout.

During a visit today to Happy Singh Indian Street Food, I had the opportunity to try their highly popular Amritsari Kulcha with Chole, Here's a detailed breakdown of my experience at this vibrant spot. Ambiance and Ordering Experience: The place is huge and beautifully decorated, creating a pleasant and lively atmosphere. However, despite the spaciousness, it wasn’t very busy at the time of my visit. The restaurant employs a kiosk system for ordering, which, while modern, was a bit confusing for a first-timer like myself. This setup seems to be in place to address short staffing issues, but it slightly detracted from the overall dining experience as I found it less personal and not very intuitive. Staff and Service: The staff seemed okay but not particularly friendly. They were efficient, but there wasn’t much in the way of warm customer service. However, the food came out quickly and piping hot, which is always appreciated, especially when you’re hungry. Food Quality: Now, onto the food itself. The Amritsari Kulcha was huge, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It had that perfect balance of crispiness on the outside and softness on the inside, with a well-seasoned stuffing that made it the star of the meal. Unfortunately, the accompanying chole (chickpea curry) didn’t quite live up to the kulcha's standard. There wasn’t enough chole to complement even half of the kulcha, which was a bit disappointing. Moreover, the chole lacked the depth of flavor that I was expecting from such a popular dish. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t as flavorful as I had hoped, especially given the high praise for this dish. Price Point: Another point worth mentioning is the price. For what is considered their most popular dish, I found it a bit too pricey, especially considering the small portion of chole. While the kulcha was definitely worth the price, the chole portion could have been more generous to make the meal feel more balanced and satisfying. Final Thoughts: Despite the small portion size of the choleand the somewhat confusing ordering system, I would definitely go back to Happy Singh to try some of their other offerings. The kulcha alone was worth the trip, and I’m hopeful that other items on the menu will have the flavor and portion balance that I’m looking for. In conclusion, Happy Singh offers a unique street food experience with great ambiance and delicious kulchas, though there’s some room for improvement in terms of flavor balance and portion size for certain dishes. I’m looking forward to trying something else on my next visit!

We visited the restaurant a couple of times for lunch and dinner (including dine-in and pick-up). This restaurant is our go-to place for Indian food when in Delta/Surrey. For placing dine-in orders, a customer is required to place an order at the kiosks, a usual self-service concept. There are only four kiosks in the whole restaurant - you will find two as soon as you enter the restaurant and the other two are on the opposite side. Most often, there is a queue at these kiosks because the restaurant is generally packed during peak hours like most restaurants. In addition to this, please take a note that you got to have more patience while ordering because even if you do not want to customize your order, you will be forced to select "next time for sure" on every screen of your order - atleast 3 to 4 times per item in the order (no way to skip this). We haven't seen an option to search an item directly from the menu, so you have to keep scrolling until you find it. This surely emphasizes a need to add more kiosks and improve the overall system. In order to avoid all hassles and truly enjoy food here, we suggest looking up the items on their website menu beforehand. The menu is quite elaborate; our personal favorites include chicken momos (steamed & tandori), amritsari chhole kulche, soya chaap (malai & amritsari in appetizers and mughlai in curry), and masala chai. The prep time usually ranges from 30 to 40 min, and you can watch the progress of your order on a screen. We also find the staff courteous, and packaging is commendable for pick-ups. In our last two visits, however, we have witnessed differences in tastes as well as presentation. Hence, there is a bit of inconsistency in food served. For example, once the tandoori momos were dry, which we liked, whereas they were doused in a sauce the other time, which did not work for our pallette. Otherwise, the flavors are satisfactory.

An amazing combination of ambience and service. Very warm and hardworking staff. The managers here are extremely proactive to come and help you in every way possible. Though I found the entire process of food ordering and delivery extremely tedious. 1. The software interface itself is extremely confusing when compared to the straight forward ordering and adding to cart processes that most other qsr's follow. Though once the manager came around and quickly helped us navigate it, found it silly to have missed a few points 2. The food is divided into multiple types and each category may be delivered at a different counter and at a different time. So, if you have ordered several things, then they could all come at a different counter and at different times. So each time you see your order number flashing for pickup at a different counter, you may have to go there separately. This often could turn painful. The ambience here is extremely clean and modern and while the main areas are extremely well lit up, the light in corners and near tables could be better balanced to keep it brighter throughout. (Maybe in daylight this place could be brighter, but we were here on a winter night). Amazing concept and there is scope for this to be replicated into a franchise model if things in the food production side is more consistent. Overall a nice place to be in. The place is extremely packed on weekends and holidays with extended wait times. So plan accordingly!

Happy Singh makes you real happy from the moment you step in. Easy to browse through menu kiosks welcome you! No nonsensical way of waiting to be seated as you can choose your own seats. There’s a vast variety of options! After ordering and paying at the kiosk for the food items of your choice (please note since it’s almost self serve from the start to finish no annoying tips formality - you can choose 0 tips option and no one is going to give a scorned look), you hardly wait for about 5 minutes and your food is ready and flashed on the huge digital display panels and also you will receive via text to your phone, if you had pre-registered the number at the kiosk at the time of ordering the food! Food is amazing in taste and the portions are just right for the price you pay! Couple of tips here to save money and pain! Before going, order online and go and you will get 15% discount! Order take out instead of eating in and you will save 50 cents per container, if you have leftovers after sitting and eating (nobody stops you from sitting and eating inside on a takeout order)! There is lots of free parking and you can enjoy with families and friends with no cause to worry about parking! Overall, a visit will give you an amazing and very satisfying experience and will make you to make as a ‘go to place’ with no holds barred! Will go often! Highly recommended!
