Maguro Sushi — Restaurant in Delta

Maguro use to be one of the best sushi spots in South Delta. This place doesn't even deserve a 1 star. Please read if you want a very honest review.

I have eaten at Maguro for almost 10 years off and on. Go to Maguro if you want horrible service, and I mean the worst of the worst, rude cranky/ miserable servers who act like you ordered the entire menu when you ask for a water, you'll also end up with luke warm water in a glass that's half filled, or no water at all. Your server will come back when its time to pay the bill, and that's all. The food use to be great, it is absolutely horrible now. The rice bowl is like a giant bowl of rice with flavourless/boiled like chicken. The miso soup is flavourless, the tuna and salmon is very stringy- likely bad cuts of the fish, the menu prices continue to go up, however the food gets worse. I'm done supporting this business. We ordered over $100 of food for take out and it was all so disappointing, they forgot an order and then decide to be rude about it on the phone. This place is horrendous. Save yourself the time, money and experience. Go to their other restaurant in South Surrey- Maguro Guy... it is guaranteed 100 times better, unsure if they still...

Not a great experience whatsoever. Service is pretty much non existant here. We have tried this place as a local three times now and after a poor experience the first time ordering out, we had a not so bad dine in experience a couple of months ago. Today, we had some of the worst service ever experienced while dining out. Our food was cold and late, servers were having their own lunches next to us at two separate tables and yes, their food had steam coming off it. No apologies when we noted it to the server. They took my order back and made me take my wife's order back myself since they never came back to get it. No checking on how we were doing after getting our hot Bento boxes and a very late refill of our green tea. Food was good once received but nothing spectacular. Rolls look interesting but we will never give this establishment another dime due to very rude and unappreciative service. Ladner Sushi and Fuji are lovely and the food...

I don’t know what happened the last few months. This used to be our favourite place for take out and the last 3 times ordering have not been great. 2 times with a few pieces tasting off but tonight was the worst.

All the rolls were falling apart as you tried to pick them up. Crazy roll and California roll were inedible as they tasted like rotten fish, also the crazy roll was only cut into 4 pieces instead of 8. Spicy Tuna roll tasted like the tuna had spoiled a while ago. Even the pork gyoza tasted fishy so it just seemed like a bunch of cross contamination. I’m pregnant and only order cooked sushi but couldn’t even risk it with most of the order.

So unfortunate as we used to love this place but don’t think we’ll ever...
