Doon Express Indian Cuisine delta — Restaurant in Delta

Me and my partner are genuinely the most loyal customers to this place we love their food and have never had a problem there before, a couple days ago we call in asking for pick up of our order. The worker on the phone stated that our order will take about 20-25 minutes until it’s done, we waited patiently at home then drove to pick it up. My partner walked in while I was waiting parked and they told my partner that the order was never placed. Mind you we had confirmed an order with a worker over the phone, the worker said that it must’ve been our fault and that it was on us that there wasn’t an order (I’ll touch more on that later). My partner then places the order yet again and walks out frustrated and basically in tears since they were hungry and haven’t ate all day. We call the number that was listed on the website and on google, it was the exact same phone number we had called previously, I’d like to clarify that we had also checked both of our phones to make sure the phone number was twice the exact same one we had used. Ended up having to wait another 15min and I walked in this time while my partner had been waiting outside, I go to confront them about it stating that me and my partner both work retail and we would have NEVER treated a customer like that. We weren’t loud and arguing or anything, we were just simply on what had happened and the answers we received were just accusatory responses that it was on us. Giving 3 stars because I think there was just some sort of mix up in the order I placed online. Over all the taste was absolutely amazing ! Portions were great. But I ordered lamb in my curry and I am positive it was not lamb it was beef which beef upsets my stomach, lamb does not. I can still eat it but I'll have a bit of a stomach ache later on. I also got palak paneer as my friend doesn't eat meat. We ordered the palak mild as she doesn't like spice too much (little is okay but can't handle alot ) and I got the 'lamb' curry medium. The palak was even spicy for me (but I can handle spice) and my 'lamb' curry was not spicy at all. Unfortunately I couldn't trade her because she doesn't eat meat so she ate the rice naan and raita. By the time we picked it up and got home and finally sat down to eat with our movie, it was too late to call and go back. Honestly if those things didn't happen it would have been 5 stars because it was actually all super tasty but my friend sadly didn't get curry to enjoy and I'll have a tummy...

I used to frequently visit this buffet restaurant due to its consistently good food and service, but recent experiences have left me deeply disappointed. Despite calling ahead and being assured that the buffet is open, we arrived to find a chaotic scene. While we were initially having the starters and then when we wanted to start with the main dishes but we found most trays were empty, while we requested for the main dishes, the staff told us that the kitchen is closed but we haven’t started with the main dishes as it was only about 10-15 mins since we entered the restaurant . To make the situation even worse, we were then told that we would need to pay separately for any additional dishes. Had we been informed of the kitchen closure beforehand, we would have opted for the à la carte menu. We ended up having only the appetizer and dessert after paying the full price for the buffet.
