Based on my last experience with them they have been good this second visit !! I went on last week with my hubby here for dinner - they were only open I believe it was an odd Friday or Thursday ! Only restaurant open till 10-10:30 we could get through on that day.
When we entered a girl greeted and seated - last time I went back in 2016 I had a worst experience at this place and the gyani manager was awful - I work in HR and I would never hire him as a manager - at that time I was at a point never returning back to Mirch Masala and then one of our friends had an awesome experience and told us maybe they have change of management possibly - so that is why I had returned to check
The food was way better than 2016 more flavour we absolutely loved the bhindi Masala and seekh Kabab and roti was fresh and soft. The food was good thumbs up!!!! Must try seekh Kabab!!!
Customer service - Our server Indian girl student has to be - a bit shy I would say like I have worked in a restaurant it is always good to smile and be talkative or outgoing make the customer feel homey! I mean if you do no to less talk wouldn’t make sense.. we had to catch eye to get her to come to us .. we caught one lady and she didn’t say nothing to us and disappeared and our server showed up in 3 mins time - like proper way would be the lady should have asked us at-least what it was for and if it is something small like water get it for us or say I will send your server to ya or let your server know to bring - not just walk off after listening and not say a word ???
The management has to train all their servers with good etiquette and customer service and hire students who are upbeat and friendly outgoing - the atmosphere should be upbeat not dead - and they have to come attend each table more often and ask if anything else is required ? How...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of revisiting Mirch Masala restaurant, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of delightful. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by our host, Sandy, who provided exceptional customer service throughout our visit.
Having tried several new Indian restaurants in the area, which heavily advertised their authentic cuisine on social media platforms, I was left disappointed by their lackluster food quality. Many of these establishments relied on pre-made food and sauces, attempting to impress customers with flashy presentations and exaggerated flames. However, the taste and authenticity were sorely lacking.
Returning to Mirch Masala was a breath of fresh air. Not only did they maintain their high standards of food quality, but they also introduced a plethora of new items to their menu. It was evident that they had put thought and effort into renovating their establishment, creating a warm and inviting ambiance for diners.
Whether dining with a large or small family, Mirch Masala is the perfect place to indulge in a truly authentic Indian dining experience. The flavors in their dishes are second to none, and their commitment to using fresh ingredients shines through in every bite. The fast service ensured that our meal was served promptly, allowing us to enjoy our time together without any delays.
I highly recommend Mirch Masala to anyone in search of a top-notch Indian restaurant. The combination of their excellent food quality, attentive customer service, and inviting atmosphere make it a truly memorable dining destination. Don't waste your time and money on the new, flashy establishments - Mirch Masala is...
Read moreI read so many great reviews about this place and wanted to love it. But our experience was not that good. We were a party of 6, celebrating my birthday. We love spicy Indian food! When the waitress took our order she asked us if we want "mild or medium". She only gave us the option of mild or medium? Why? Because we are Caucasian? It came across as honestly really rude. I would suggest they ask EVERYBODY if they want mild, medium or spicy. Anyway, I asked for medium. We wanted to feel some real heat in our food. I also asked for rice for 6 people. Even though we asked for medium spice, the food she brought to us was not medium spice Indian food. It was MILD and soooo bland. Totally lacked flavor. She also brought 6 platters of rice, which is rice for 12 people.I asked for rice for 6 people, not 6 platters of rice. Furthermore, three times, as we were eating, I saw her standing about 15 feet away from us just glaring at our table. I kid you not. Glaring like she hated us and wanted us to leave. But we are nice, cheerful people so I have no idea what was going on. We didn't even complain about the bland food or way too much rice. One of the women at our table commented that she feels they are pushing us to leave, so we skipped dessert and just left. There are many other Indian restaurants that we love in Surrey so we will go to those instead. We won't return to Mirch Masala, it was just this weird, awkward vibe from the waitress and the food was not nearly...
