Food quality has gone downhill this used to be my favourite for take out, but I was disappointed. The shahi paneer looked old, overcooked and dry. Fresh paneer is white and soft not dry. It was nothing like it used to be. The garlic naan was brushed with a yellow sauce hardly any garlic pieces. The food didn't taste very fresh. It didn't look like paneer but it looks like they used fried tofu pieces and put that in the yellow sauce. I am used to having shahi paneer with a bright orange sauce the sauce was a light yellow color. Server kept making excuses that made no sense whatsoever she said the chef stirred the paneer alot, she said white color paneer is only for garnish, nope not like that at many other places that use fresh paneer pieces. l have had better. Her explanation was overstirring by the kitchen made the paneer pieces shattered, they could have easily made it with fresh paneer pieces rather than make a million excuses. The dish could have been replaced rather than pretending to listen and not care. So I paid my bill and walked out disappointed. I will never eat here again.I had come here with high hopes but this restaurant is nothing like...

When I used to live in Surrey, Mahek was one of our go to Indian restaurants.

Located on Scott Road, they share the same strip mall space with other businesses. I should also mention they have two locations and make sure if you order take out online that you’re ordering from the right location.

The decor inside has a deep tone theme to it. They have plenty of booths with nice comfy seats. Service is also consistent with friendly servers.

Nowadays I mostly get take out from them, but they’re just as tasty when I get home. They’re also not joking when it comes to their vindaloos, they’re proper spicy.

The first time I ordered the lamb vindaloo with a friend, our server asked us twice at the table if we can handle spice, and afterwards the manager came over and told us it’s a spicy dish. I found that quite entertaining, but do appreciate their concern. In the end we thoroughly enjoyed it down to the last drop of sauce.

Their portion sizes and prices are also quite comparable to other places. There’s a reason they’ve been around for many years, one of those neighborhood restaurants you can count on for...

Ordered their basa fish pakoras for a long time as did many of my extended family, and they were amazing, but they recently changed their price and quality.... I was not informed of the change over the phone while ordering for pickup and they made very clear that they would not honour the previous price even though I didn’t know, I felt forced into taking my order.... customers do not like feeling that they’ve been had, and that’s exactly how I felt

This time they were very dry and tasteless... if you are charging more for your food you better make darn sure it’s worth the price (my opinion, just saying)

In addition, I did not appreciate being lied too as to the timing when they changed their price when I enquired (this is my main reason for never returning here again)

I will not be returning here ever again, as there are other shops just down the road with better food , service and prices .... my family members also will not be coming back and many others I know on a social level

I hope things in these areas will change, if they do, lmk and perhaps I...

Tasty authentic Northeastern Indian food that comes in large portions. Food is creamy and rich. I would suggest if you are sensitive to spice to try mild instead of medium. Medium to Indians is probably hot to everyone else. Some of my family members who cannot handle spice due to health problems found that medium was too spicy, but it was perfect for me. However, I'm the kind of person that likes eating fresh chilli peppers and raw onions with my food. My family liked the chicken vindaloo and paneer dishes. I would like to come again.

Went with friends to this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised with the subtle ambiance and tasty food. We cherished dishes like fish pakora, chicken tikka , tandoori fish, kebab and gol gappas before having daal, goat curry and raita with a variety of rotis and naan and finally finished with falooda kulfi. The service was top notch and prompt making for a brilliant dining experience. The prices are genuine and portions too are decent. Definitely worth a visit for having some quality food with your loved one’s. Will visit again soon
