We had the chance to visit Chuck’s Roadhouse twice over a weekend—once for a laid-back lunch, and again the next evening to catch the hockey game. I'm glad we did lunch first, because if the game night had been our first impression, I’m not sure we would’ve returned. Lunch Visit: Lunch was relaxed and enjoyable. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and there was no issue finding a seat. The food came out hot and fresh—just the way you hope it will. We ordered the Chuck’s burgers, which are honestly a great deal at just \$9 including fries. I did pay the extra for onion rings and they were worth every penny. The burgers were cooked perfectly, full of flavor, and hit the spot. Hockey Night Visit: Now, the evening we came back for the hockey game was a different experience. We got there at 6:25 p.m. and the place was packed. It's a smaller location compared to the Chuck’s in Wasaga Beach, so seating was limited. We noticed a large table taken up by just two people, which made things tricky for others waiting. It seems like a bit more structure around seating during busy nights would go a long way. Eventually, we found seats at the bar. The atmosphere was energetic—great company, and lots of TVs for watching the game. Service was decent considering how slammed they were, but it was clear the place was understaffed that night. Drinks and food took quite a while to arrive. Sadly, the nachos missed the mark. Very little in the way of toppings, and they were so dry we didn’t even finish them. I’d skip those next time. If you're planning to go for a big game night, I’d suggest arriving at least 30 minutes before puck drop. And just a heads up—you can’t make reservations on game nights. Other Notes: They do have great drink specials and the food prices are very reasonable. After 9:00 p.m., they offer half-price appetizers, which is a nice bonus. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible and family-friendly, and there's street parking available nearby. One thing that took away from the experience was the smell of smoke right outside the entrance—both cigarettes and marijuana. Each time the door opened, it wafted into the restaurant, and it really did take away from the dining atmosphere. It might be worth implementing a rule about not smoking near the door. Final Thoughts: All in all, I’m giving Chuck’s Roadhouse in Gravenhurst a solid four stars. When it’s not jam-packed, the food and service really do shine. Just pick your timing wisely.

Chucks Roadhouse located in the heart of Gravenhurst Ontario, was for myself and my partner ......Fantastic!! I ordered the rib eye, medium rare, more towards rare, mashed potatoes, and corn. The steak was done exactly as I ordered, and the rest of the meal also tasted great. My lovely wife ordered chicken quesadilla, which she was happy with. Overall, our food and service were worth the money. for less than $100.00 we both ate, had a few drinks and that also included our tip. Very well priced! We arrived around 6PM, on a Sunday evening, seating wasn't an issue, and although it was busy, (Sunday night football) our Server Jessica was on point, never left waiting for anything and immensely helpful. Our server also made sure I liked the steak right away, in case it had to be redone, (it didn't lol) Jessica provided us with an excellent level of service. The location is on the main street in Gravenhurst Ontario, parking was a bit tricky, as a major snowstorm had covered the entire town a week before, so street parking was out of the question given the snowbanks. We were able to get a spot as someone was leaving just as we arrived. The restaurant itself was very clean, with lots of TV's (if your there to watch sports). The atmosphre wasn't to loud, I could have a converstation with out yelling. Bathrooms were clean, lighting was just right, over all felt comfortable. I would recommend this location based on our experience, that said, not everyone will have the same experience, although I hope you do have one similar to ours. Until the next review, take care and be well.....

First time ever to a chuck’s roadhouse, and the Last Time Ever, walking into this place we had to seat ourselves, after seating we waited 14 min for a server, our meals was simple NY Strip Lobster Fires Corn, after waiting 45 min for our food, my steak was in my wife’s plate and hers was on Mine, my fries was Cold my wife had sweet potatoe fries they was cold as well our corn was cold, and to top it off neither one of us got a lobster on our plate, after addressing the issue our server took my fries and corn back to the kitchen ordered our lobster and just left a steak in front of me and said at least you still have something to eat while you waite really, so now I have a cold steak waiting for my other food to come back. Our fries and corn came back hot and yet no lobster they said you still need to wait another 2.5 min. So now I have hot fries hot corn cold steak no lobster everything is on separate plates now as well, I didn’t mention i ordered gravy for my fries I didn’t get that at all didn’t even mention it gonna be more complicated than anything. So finally got our lobster with a cold steak fries not so hot anymore same as the corn, my wife didn’t care she was starving. First meal I have never finished because I was so disappointed. The star rating is a 1 star on everything because it doesn’t offer a 0 So I wouldn’t recommend this place at all it’s dirty it’s not professional at all kitchen and staff are lost. And the locals who sit at the bar well all I could smell was cigarette smoke essentially pleasant,

We arrived for dinner at about 6pm, the place was busy but manageable. Got seated within 5-7 mins. The waitress came within another 5 mins but seemed very disconnected, uninterested and overwhelmed. You could hardly hear her speak as the place was loud, ppl had to speak over the combination of the TV loudness and music playing at same time. Since we’ve been to this location few times since it opened we were ready to place our orders. She took the orders and then the owner brought us our drinks, coke and a beer. Now I know it’s a roadhouse bar and grill and new era, but when did it start with assumptions that a person doesn’t want a glass for their beer that comes in a bottle? At least a courtesy to ask if I want a glass. I had to get up and go to the bar to get a glass as waitress was nowhere to be seen. This was not the 1st time this happened. The previous time about a month ago same thing, except I asked the waitress then to bring me a glass, she then looked at me like how dare I and followed up with a glass that was spotty, dirty and made to be served for pop not beer which ruins the taste of the beer if poured into that. When I checked the glass in front of her, she gave me a nasty look and said, it’s just dry spots we don’t hand dry. Back to yesterday’s dinner, I ordered the Caesar salad with chicken, I had this before at this location and others. What a disgrace when it arrived!! The lettuce was soggy, flat and you could see way ahead prepared with the dressing but the worse was the frozen undercooked chicken that was half raw, gummy and gross. We even questioned the waitress about the dressing cause you couldn’t see it. I had a feeling it was not right but tried to give them the benefit of it. I bit into it & my feeling confirmed it, it was horrible!! I called the owner over, had to give him explanation over and over as he tried giving his excuse of it. After several minutes of discussion he finally offered to replace it but then said if I like something else instead as if he was worried a repeat of same would happen. So I ordered something else. My conclusion after this experience is, its now about 3am, I’ve been sick with nausea, stomach pains all night after that meal. Since we’ve been there before and few times, I also started noticing the skimming of the food amount. The large salad was the portion of a small. I know this because at other locations it’s way more. The amount of fries that came with my replaced meal, you could count on 2 hands. The quality of food also went down. The burger meat was way below par then McDonald’s. This was the last time at Chucks Roadhouse in...

Don’t recommend, the service was very poor! Once we arrived we asked for a table of 7 the hostess said u can go to the back corner then wait for the other people to leave then move there. We just ended up putting two tables together, we weren’t even given menus I had to take it upon my self to grab them for our table. From here it was about 10 minutes until we got asked for drinks once ordered we waited 15 minutes to actually get them. After about 30-40 mins all our drinks were done and still yet to be asked for what we’d like to order (Mind you it was not busy at all). Then after we finally order it took another 30-40 minutes to get and half of our food was cold. Went to use the bathroom and there was toilet water all over the ground and toilet was overfilling, I then informed a server where she said yes we’re aware use the handicap one, there should be a sign so I didn’t have to walk in pee water. Not once was asked how the food was or if we needed anything. After another 15 minutes of waiting for the bill the waitress then had to individually ask each person what we ordered yet the bills were still wrong! Then waited another 20 minutes to get the bill then had to remind to get a machine took another 5 minutes. There was zero friendliness no smiling, or even nice tone. Another point to add was someone asked for another pop here the waiter audibly sighed and rolled her eyes. We were nothing but polite and got treated horribly while we watched her act friendly to other customers and serve them right away. Treat your customers with respect especially when we’re the ones paying to be there and while the servers expect to be tipped. If your rude and unwelcoming and very much slacking don’t expect a tip! Anyway was very disappointed with the whole experience i recommend staying away i definitely won’t be going back to this location. I recommend the managers to go over basic respect or etiquette to their staff if they expect to have...
