One star for actually delivering. I ordered online. Beware. This company has nobody in charge of their online ordering. I ordered on the 8th, hoping to have 50 beers for my husbands 50th birthday party. I followed up with them when my order wasn’t updated. They’d charged my credit card. I called. I left my number. I emailed. I emailed again. Finally reached out through Instagram and got told to email another recipient about it and “give all my details”. I said, gee that seems unprofessional as I called, emailed and emailed and YOU HAVE MY ORDER. Ok???? Why am I required to email another email, when…. Oh for goodness sakes. This company???? I wouldn’t do business with them again. They’re selling to LCBO now. I wouldn’t buy it just based on principle. They finally delivered it this afternoon. 6 days after the party I ordered it from. You know who would never do this? Every brewery in my area would never have let it get this far. Willebald, Collective Arts, Black Swan would have all had it to me the next day. If I had called in, I would have gotten a call back. If I emailed, I would have got a response. Is the beer ok? Dunno. I’m probably never going to drink one. I’ll just give it to the folks who stop by this summer and tell them about the customer service issues they have. Doesn’t matter if the beer is ok if the people are treating the public like automatons.

Coming here is always an adventure. You never know, what kind of beer they come up with next. I like that one can get a taste, before one orders. It's a great hang-out place, sometimes with life music. As an extra bonus, there are some nice table games, one can use, to make the visit more entertaining. But this place would not be as good, without the food truck outside. The menu of the truck is not large, but man is the food ever so good. You have to oder outside, right at the truck's window. They do bring the order into Sawdust City though, while you can start with a nice, fresh cold beer. I think, there should be tablets on each table, from which you can order your food and pay as well, while you are sitting, sipping on your beer. BUT WATCH OUT, and NEVER< EVER !!!! cross the line to the store part, with a beer in your hand. I did not know it was forbidden, under the thread of a death penalty. I accidentally set my foot over the line once and had a staff member literally loosing it on me, without even trying to have a conversation first. This was bad enough of an experience, that I never wanted to come back.

Pilsners, Porters, Poutines. Oh My! All in all a decent experience. Sawdust City brewing has a decent selection of beers on tap. If you're someone who appreciates a good IPA then it's definitely worth popping in. I found the little Norway Pilsner to be similar to a Steam Whistle Pilsner but missing that little something to make it special. The Cherry Cheesecake Sour however was something special, and definately worth a trip back for a can or two. The 'There's No Way of Knowing' Saison was also a delight, but again missing something to really bring it over the top, but all in all enjoyable. As far as food goes, the Poutine was a proper Poutine. White Cheese curds with excellent stringy-ness, a good beef gravy and fries that were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. A winner in my book and good pairing to accompany the beverages. In terms of ambiance, the patio was nice and spacious and the server I had was attentive and quick on his feet. All in all a good experience and worth a stop if you're in the area.

Very disappointing, a real let down! This was our first time here and we’ve been to many breweries before this trip to Sawdust. First I must say that the beer was good/ok.

The table we sat at in the saloon was very sticky....this was a concern since we are dealing with COVID-19 and the menu was no better. We ordered a flight of 24 samples and the beer was good. We ordered food and I had the chicken sandwich and it was $16. The description made it sound appealing and what a let down. Really? You can get a better junior chicken sandwich at McDonald’s. My wife ordered the poutine and it was a joke....tater tots? Really? You can’t use real fries for $16? Laziness for the food.

This was a real let down and as mentioned a sticky table, menu while we are dealing with COVID-19 is not ok. If you choose to go here, go just for beer and say away from the tasteless no love food.

We will never recommend or return here again.

This is a follow up to reply:

Thank you for the reply.

Sadly I think you’re completely missing the point! With regards to the stickiness on the table and menu, this is more then just residue to you’re cleaning products. I’ve been to many places since the government has given the go ahead for restaurants to open and no other place has this problem. If indeed it’s the cleaning products, I’d suggest using something else since I’m not the only person offended. By the way the floor was very sticky too!

I took the time to look over past reviews, mainly foods pictures and what was presented to our table was nothing even close to past reviews. To say you put a great effort on food was a big fail with our visit. I’m still in shock with what was given to us and the customer service was a joke.....simply “Here’s your food” and walked away and didn’t even ask if we needed condiments. The food presentation and delivery was simply lazy with a “I don’t care” attitude.

Overall I’m a little insulted at your reply....no incentive to make things right and dismissive of our experience.

I sincerely hope others read my review and think twice before making a trip to your brewery.

Sadly...

Since they opened, I've been going to Sawdust every summer on my return trip from camping. I would always take my camping group for a quick beer, pickup some take away cans and head home. When they started serving food it was great for us as we would have our lunch there as well. I'm not sure if the management changed or what happened but the level of service I have recieved in the past and have come to expect is no longer existent. The last time I went there, a few days ago and I do mean last time as I will not be returning, it was horrible. We arrived there expecting a great meal as we normally have gotten in the past. We ordered 5 burgers all of which were burnt to a crisp. We had to send them back. When the replacement burgers arrived, some were cooked ok and another was raw. I'm not even going to mention the wait as I understand the challenges we face with staffing but let's say it was a very long wait for the food. To add insult to injury, not only did I leave there hungry but I was also told I could not get a refund for the burger I didn't eat because I had already paid for it. They basically stole my $20 plus the tip I paid up front. This is how they treat customers who have been going there for years and brought them so much business. Their beers are good, but I have had my last Sawdust city beer this past weekend. I can not in good conscience support a business that steals from...
