Pizza Nova — Restaurant in District Municipality of Muskoka

I stepped into pizza, nova and stood behind the gentleman at the till who was waiting to pick up his order. When he got his pizza, a gentleman come in behind me, and I was then waiting at the till with the menu in my hand, ready to place an order. The older worker turned and looked at the man behind me and asked him what he wanted. I was stunned because I was next in line and I was standing right there at the counter by the cash register. He proceeded to give the customer 2 slices of pizza and a drink, and totally ignored me! I was next in line,, I was standing right at the till facing him and he helped the man behind me nest 😳. Then the worker was basically waiting for me to get out of the way so he could ring up the customers pizza on his cash register! 😡. I just walked out. I was so upset that I was totally ignored and overlooked. I was ready to spend 75 bucks in there on pizzas and extras because my hubby and I were starving. I don’t know if it was because I was a woman, but he served the man in front of me and skipped me and serve the man behind me, but he didn’t even acknowledge that I existed yet I was standing right there in his face. I have never experienced anything like this before especially when it comes to customer service! I will never step foot in there again, I have to confess, I was embarrassed and felt awkward and utter place and I’m trying to order food. Always had great experiences until today. The woman at the front counter was rude and ignorant. And when one of our slices of pizza that was supposed to be cheese had mushrooms and onions all inside of it, we politely asked for a replacement. The woman at the counter including both owners treated us horribly and proceeded to talk about us a few feet away. The replacement was burnt to a crisp, and reluctantly we went back up and mentioned it was black burnt (Again, politely ) so we just asked for our money back this time for that slice.

The rudeness escalated, and then both owners and the very rude woman at the counter proceeded to talk about us so loudly that we could hear them in our seats - and all 3 were laughing hysterically, cracking jokes (still talking about us).

It was SHOCKING and a complete let down. The customer service was just awful. As mentioned, we've always received good service and the food has always been good, until today.

The owners that were once pleasant and nice, were just plain awful to us.

I have never been treated in such a manner in my life.

Save yourself the trouble and stay away from this place.

While the pizza is normally great, it's not worth being berated, talked about rudely, and laughed at JUST because you ask for a new slice of just cheese pizza (which shouldnt come with onions and mushrooms).

If I could give it to 0 could give it to 0 Stars call I would. It's a crying shame, because as I said the pizza was always great before and we never had an issue with customer...

This Pizza Nova really took a dive since ownership changed 5 years ago. It’s been our tradition for over 15 years to stop here for lunch while passing through Huntsville for our summer holidays. It used to be very clean and air conditioned. Last summer AC was “broken down” and we reluctantly stayed for lunch anyway. This year we stopped again and AC is STILL not working. They clearly have no intention of fixing it at all since it has been a year. Their thermostat read 32 degrees Celsius the day we went in (it was 25 degrees outside). The restaurant was empty and several tables were dirty. Men’s washroom lock was broken. Women’s washroom was not clean, with a puddle around the toilet. We got the pizza one last time and ate it outside. We are sad our tradition is over and would absolutely not recommend this place anymore.
