Freshslice Pizza — Restaurant in District of North Vancouver

UPDATE. Initially, I posted this review for the Esplanade location rather than the Lynn Valley location. The manager of the Esplanade location, Ben, contacted me immediately (even though it was not his location that made the pizza). He offered another pizza to make up for our bad experience and within an hour, he hand-delivered it with a free order of cheesy bread. This was the most amazing customer service I've experienced in a very long time. The pizza from his location was absolutely amazing, loaded with cheese and veggies. Sadly, I haven't heard a word from the manager of the Lynn Valley location -- not even an apology for the bad pizza. Ben from Esplanade restored my faith in Freshslice -- I will never order from the Lynn Valley location again after the awful food we received and the lack of communication by the manager. The manager of the Lynn Valley location really needs to monitor the quality of food coming out of this branch. When a customer receives a pizza that looks like someone barfed a thin layer of tomato sauce and a few veggies onto a VEGGIE "FEAST" pizza, you're doing something very wrong. Again, thanks to Ben Asadi for the amazing customer service, and kudos to the staff at the Esplanade location for sending us a top notch pizza!*

I'm not sure why Freshslice gets so many great reviews. We ordered from them yesterday evening via Skip the Dishes, and we weren't impressed. We ordered a 16" large veggie feast pizza (trust me, this is anything but a FEAST). We gave Freshslice a try because their pizza was 16" and everybody else was 14", and their prices were very reasonable. Well, now we know why the pizzas are larger and cheaper -- the edge of the crust was 2 inches long (there goes the extra 2"). There was literally NO CHEESE. It was all sauce with a very small amount of veggie toppings. When we opened the box, it looked as though someone had barfed on the pizza -- nothing but tomato sauce and a few veggies, it was absolutely disgusting. So the savings we made on ordering this pizza was lost, because we had to add our own cheese and some extra mushrooms, peppers, etc to salvage this mess. This is the last time we will every order from Freshslice, what a waste of money and time. Seriously, how expensive are veggies? I've eaten from many other restaurants that loaded the cheese and veggies for a few dollars more. Talk about cheap -- all bread and tomato sauce, very little toppings. Hopefully you have a better experience...

I ordered pizza today online at 4:45pm and asked for a delivery at 6:00 p.m. The website allows you to choose 15 minute increments. I set about trying to finish some things around the house before 6:00 p.m. The pizza arrived just before 5:20, a full 40 minutes ahead of schedule. I checked my receipt to make sure I didn't make the mistake. I confirmed that the order was for 6pm. I called them to inquire about the mistake. The man on the phone rudely told me that the problem was mine and that deliveries could happen anytime. I asked what the point of having a specific delivery time was if they were just delivered whenever. He said they started making the pizzas when an order came in. Is this the first world problem? You bet. In fact it's not even that big a deal except for the fact the Lynn Valley franchise made it clear that the problem was mine. The suggested remedy was to send the driver back pick up the pizzas and re-deliver them at 6:00 p.m. um, thanks but no. I would suggest that as a business the appropriate response would be to hear your customers concerns and try to address them in a polite manner. The delivery driver seemed nice but come on Freshslice, get your act together. I'd recommend against using this outlet until they improve their customer service and figure out their online delivery timelines. Sadly the pizza wasn't even good and the wings were soaked in a puddle of barbecue sauce. I'll be going back to another pizza outfit next time. Sorry Freshslice you've lost my business for...

I am shocked with the experience I have just had here. They had literally no pizzas ready, so I agreed on some flavours I don’t really like as I was in a rush to get going. I asked for my slices to be put into a box and guy refused! He was like I only have 4 slice boxs, I said okay please but in a 4 slice box then I’ll pay the extra for the box, he refused again! No must be 4 slices 3 slices go into a bag. Then he chucks the pizza in the bag and says take it or leave. Like what the heck. Needless to say, I left and the guy yells at me to not come back. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t put it into a box? It still doesn’t make sense to me. I offered to pay for the box! DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Most fresh slices are great,...
