I booked a table for 12 people for my husbands birthday and i cant believe how disappointed i was. the service was INCREDIBLY slow..and im talking wait 20 minutes to even get our order taken then another 15 to get drinks. now i have been a server and worked in the industry for years, i know how things are when its busy, but they were not busy. there was 5 tables in the whole place with three servers... I brought a cake for my husband and they didn't even have the courtesy to put the candles on that i brought in and light it for us... she handed me the cake in front of him and i had to put the candles on my self and when i asked for a lighter she said they didn't have any...? are u for real?! it a bar!!!!! and to top it off.. she didnt keep track of bills and had over 60.00$ it un accounted drinks that someone from our table paid for. are u serious?! take names and keep track..it's your job!! Again i was a server myself and that the first thing you do when you have a big table! not bat your eyes and hope someone will pay for it. absolutely ridiculous.
we spend over 900$, we made a reservation, put an experienced server on our table.

Read moreOrdered the avocado salad and added chicken but when it arrived the server hadn’t entered my chicken in to the order which had me waiting 10 minutes while everyone at my table ate. Frustrating and not the end of the world. My partner ordered the Cajun chicken burger, half salad and half fries. Partway into his burger he realized that he had a twist tie in his mouth! After waiting about 10 minutes to see our server again we told him what happened and he chuckled and said we probably didn’t want that then took it and left. The manager then comes to the table and jokes with us saying that we didn’t order that (the twist tie) and then apologizes. I had to ask her what she was planning on doing for the horrible experience we were having. She said she would comp the burger which I think is the least they could have done. We were a table of 7 people and the experience my partner and I had impacted the entire table. The manager did a terrible job of interacting with us and said the most she could do was comp the 2 meals and give us her managers card. She didn’t care at all that my partner almost swallowed a piece of metal or that we were upset about it. This restaurant is run terribly and you would think that especially because they just opened that they would want to ensure people were leaving happy. Read moreI usually never take the time to write reviews when I have a bad experience in a pub or restaurant but this time I felt disrespected in a place just one block away from my home. We were in a group of five people and we were served at the bar by a very friendly and kind bartender when we arrived around 8 PM to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We decided to move to a table so we could order food. After waiting for almost one hour (not even water was served) we asked if we could order our dinner. The manager treated us poorly and asked us to leave for no reason at all. The pub was almost all empty (probably 10% of its capacity) and we were just chatting and having a good time. I don’t know what kind of problems she is facing in her life or if she was just having a bad day but she should take her job, the company she works for and the clients more seriously. We are all 30 and 40 year old adults and we were definitely not being loud or causing any problems whatsoever. The fact that service was refused to us was shocking and simply pathetic so we ended up going to the Queens Cross Pub where the food and service were fantastic. I live in the neighbourhood so I could easily eat there 2 times a week but the manager made sure to give us the most terrible experience I have ever had in a pub.
