The Artisan Bake Shoppe Ltd — Restaurant in District of North Vancouver

I LOVED the pretzels and bread, and especially the cheese buns they’ve carried here for years. Recently we visited the location in North Van.

Their old location on Lonsdale was bright and welcoming. The new spot is rather cramped, and didn’t have much to offer.

One day we went by and while the sign was on saying they were open in the window, the door was locked with the closed sign flipped.

Another day we stopped by hoping for lunch. The sign outside mentions “soup, sandwiches, salads”, yet the girl informed us they didn’t have any of those items.

I tried once more. They finally had pretzels again! But they were incredibly dark and over baked compared to the last time I’d had one. The cheese buns didn’t have much cheese and were dry.

It was unfortunate due to my fond memories, but the current North Vancouver location has so far been rather disappointing on multiple occasions - so it doesn’t seem to...

Not sure about the taste of his food, however, I do know that the owner is a theif. He has no problem 'hiring' people to do certain jobs for him, yet refuses to pay the bill. Dont work for this company, you wont get paid. If you value hard work for pay, dont bother. Better yet, order something, then refuse to pay for it (after youve eaten it of course) Its the same thing...
