Quesada Burritos & Tacos — Restaurant in District of North Vancouver

This place is great, and the 3-star rating is not a reflection of the food quality. Let me explain. I’ve been ordering takeout from here since they first opened in the LV area. The food is solid, the prices are great, and the portion sizes are fair.

A few days ago, I stopped by to consider dining in, but ended up opting for takeout instead. The lady at the counter was fantastic—she prepared two bowls for me with generous toppings and even suggested sauces.

The next day, my wife visited with a friend for dinner and got me a bowl as well. I was surprised to see that the portion had noticeably shrunk—about three-quarters of what I received two days ago, rather than a full bowl.

I understand that food service businesses are facing challenges with rising ingredient costs, but the sudden drop in portion size in such a short time was surprising. It might be more of a staff training issue or inconsistency in portion control.

First ever negative review I have ever written but feel I have to. The guys at the Lynn Valley store are comical. I have been there at least 5 times now and have yet to have a decent experience. I love Mexican food and used to go to the Quesada on Hastings at least weekly. The first time they opened the Lynn Valley store they were out of everything, still learning I guess. Food tasted weird, again learning nbd. Here we are a year later and they still have zero understanding of customer service. I always order online for pickup and its never been on time. Again NBD but when multiple customers show up and just order and get their food ahead of you it's pretty disappointing. This was the last chance for this business for me. The tofu burrito bowl that I ordered was delicious until I got a couple of small pieces of glass in one of my bites. It was so crunchy that I decided to spill them out to see what they were. I was quite shocked when I realized that they were glasses . Sad because the flavour was amazing but it was a scary experience. Called the restaurant and reported to the attendee who answered it.
