The bagels are EXCELLENT and this is the main point, of course. They also sell smoked salmon cream cheese and other types, which they make themselves - also excellent. And they sell their overflow of toasted sesame seeds, which I love. Regarding the service, I have always been treated politely and very efficiently, but not particularly warmly. Here's my totally unprofessional take on why. These people are perfectionists and are very stressed by the difficulties of running a small business that has huge competition and low profit margins. Unfortunately their stress shows. When I have taken the time to chat and engage, there is warmth. Having been there many times, I would say that the previous reviews create a skewed impression. If you love really great bagels and live nearby, you're cheating yourself if you don't give them your business. Update September 2022. Great bagels , terrible costomer service . The 30 year old owner had trouble counting to 13 and only gave me 11 bagels . When I went back for my two bagels , I was met by " Are you sure? " instead of an immediate apology . I may be 57 but I can still count to 13 ! The insinuation is one of mistrust in that I would come all the way over there to put my claim on two bagels ! He then put the two bagels in a bag and gave them to me . When I suggested that he throw an extra couple in for his error and my having to come back there , wow did I ever get a lesson on how not to treat a client . This man needs a few lessons in costumer service. I will not go back for a long time . Bagels de West on Sources has bagels that are just as good and know how to treat a client . Mr. Owner or manager…. It takes along time to make a costomer , it takes seconds to loose one....

Great place to buy your bagels! They have so many different kinds such as apple cinnamon, blueberry, cinnamon raisin, onion, and of course your standard sesame seed and poppy seed. They also sell a variety of prepared foods, and will even make you a sandwich on the spot! Oh ya... I must not forget all their yummy baked goods! They have cheese bagels, turnovers, danishes, and muffins just to name a few. This place will not disappoint you. I guarantee you will go back, especially with the great service! Thank you so much...
